I've been finding better results with moisturizing since I've been mixing a squirt of organic argan oil in with Dan's lotion. It seemed like the lotion alone wasn't enough to combat my dry skin. I notice he says you can do this with jojoba oil, so I assumed argan oil will be okay too? I haven't broke out from it or had any negative reactions (I used argan oil alone before starting the regimen) but I just wanted to check and make sure it's okay.
Thanks <3
I just started using argan oil about a week ago and it seems to be working out okay. I use Acure Organics brand and it is 100% argan oil and organic. I haven't had the best luck with oils in the past (jojoba, coconut, oil cleansing method, etc), so I am being cautious about it. I only added it once my skin stopped breaking out with my current regimen. This way, I know if the argan oil is the cause. I guess my advice would be to proceed with caution.
Good luck.
I've used every moisturizer ever made along with jojoba oil several time a day and I've never been able to get rid of flaking when eating, waking up from sleeping, or even in the shower. I've never had success in getting rid of flakes in ten years of this regimen. I don't understand how Dan in his video just slaps on his useless moisturizer with some jojoba and off he goes.
Even when I only did the regimen once a day instead of twice a day for YEARS, i still couldn't stop the flaking. I tried AHA+ and while it worked well on my back it resulted in the worst breakout I have had on my face leaving me with dark spots tat didn't go away for 6 months. It had no moisturizing effect.
That sucks! Makes me a little nervous to try the AHA, jeez. (It's in my cupboard, but I was waiting until my skin adjusted to the irritation a bit before I try it)
So far, my flaking has improved a lot since adding oils into the lotion. I like the smell and feel of Dan's lotion, but it honestly just isn't hydrating enough on its own. The argan oil is the best, but it's insanely expensive (10 bucks for a TEENY bottle), so I've been alternating with grapeseed oil, which is also good and only 10 bucks for a HUGE bottle. I'm doing argan oil for 3-4 days and then the grapeseed, and then back to argan, etc.
So far, so good.
hey guys.
I have a few questions, hope someone is able to help.
I've been researching Argan Oil online and came up with contradicting information. In the bad ingredients list here on acne.org Argan Oil is listed as 0:0 (not comedogenic and not irritating) but on different forums it's listed as being high in oleic acid which is supposed to be highly comedogenic?
any help appreciated!
cheers!

I've wondered this myself! Sad to say, Argan Oil totally broke me out in cysts! I would love to use it as it does moisturize really well, but the havoc it created on my face was too much
