On my 4th day of the regimen and am getting a "tan" look, pretty strong redness and just applied the treatment and got greeted with a medium level burning/stinging sensation. I've only been putting the BP on at night, and like a nickel size at that. What's going on here? Does this deem me allergic or should I just keep going with it. And is it ok to apply it every other night?

Really hope this works.. this is my last straw.. I've been on Accutane and Amnesteem 2 and a quarter times before I quit that 3rd session because I couldn't go thru that hell again.

This is quite common and perfectly normal. A red face and burning sensation is par for the course in the early weeks of the regimen until your skin adjusts to the BP. So long as you are following the instructions exactly (eg, starting slow and applying moisturiser etc) you should have success.

If you find that you are getting really red, dry patches of skin that burn A LOT (as in its unbearable) then lay off the BP in those areas or give your skin one day off from applying BP so that it can recover. As for applying every other night, I would suggest not. It would be better to reduce the nickel size to a pea size of BP every night for a week and then increase from there. Its important to increase the dose of BP steadily, but not too fast that your skin gets chemically burned.

Good luck! :)
