I'm hoping someone can provide details on the sunflower and jojoba oils used in the Acne.org moisturizer. Are these oils refined in any way? Or are they raw, unfiltered, unheated oils? Are there any studies on the difference between using processed and unprocessed plant oils on the skin?

The Jojoba is Organic Golden Jojoba Oil and it's cold pressed. It's the same Jojoba used in the Acne.org Organic Jojoba Oil product. The sunflower oil is high linoleic, which is important. The sunflower oil you normally see on store shelves is high oleic, but for the skin, particularly for acne-prone skin, it's best to use the high linoleic stuff. It's more expensive of course, but that's what I make sure to always use. The high linoleic sunflower oil not "raw" or "unfiltered." The way they make it involves a refining process to make sure it's high linoleic.

Is the jojoba wax bleached to lighten the color?

I should start recommending to sensitive people to forgo the moisturizer (because of niacinamide) and just mix benzoyl peroxide gel and jojoba oil in their palm before applying. And if you want more moisture, follow up with more oil (by itself). I feel like this is a revolutionary thought but I'm trying to get a few people to test it since I myself no longer use BP.
