I'm in my first week of the acne.org regimen & I have oily skin and when I use the benzoyl peroxide it's still oily so I don't put the moisturizer on my face is it ok to skip the moisturizer if the benzoyl peroxide doesn't dry my skin out ?

It is still the first week and maybe you aren't feeling the side effects yet but your skin will get dry and rough and red. It is better to start moisturizing now than later. Trust me my skin is extremely oily but the regimen is about balance and you need to moisturize. Your skin will just get irritated without it and might even lead to just more acne in the end.

Follow the directions precisely to make sure you have a fair shot at getting clear.

Hey jalisa92, I hope you figured out a way to make the regimen work for you! I'm going to be completely honest. I don't use moisturizer. I do not advocate doing this though. my skin has a permanently dehydrated look. if I pull my skin it looks all crinkly and gross. it almost looks like a sheet of plastic on my skin. I have never used a moisturizer and used benzoyl peroxide in some form (cleanser, gel, lotion) for years. I did just start using the green tea moisturizer from proactive, but only as needed and in dry areas. I have a very oily t zone, lots of clogged pores, blackheads and such, and i refuse to even try using moisturizer there. since I was used to the active ingredient, the regimen BP didn't bother me much even as I upped it to higher doses. however, the flaking was awful. my sister thought I'd started wearing powder makeup (I don't wear any makeup haha). it's been awhile since you posted though, so I hope you got it all figured out!
