I don't know if anyone of you guys reading this will remember me...but I was massively active on the forums a long time ago. I've been doing the regimen religiously twice a day for 10 years (yes, years) and have only ever used Dan's benzoyl peroxide this whole time. I've had consistently clear skin for these past 10 years (since I was 17 years old).
I ordered a new bottle (as I usually do) back in September and received the bottle. I started using the new bottle of benzoyl peroxide as I normally do and after about the second application, my skin broke out in what looks and feels like a chemical burn. I'm not even kidding. My face was (and still is) covered in red patchy rash looking things and incredibly dry, itchy and burning in those patches. I'll also make it clear that other than using the new bottle of benzoyl peroxide, I did NOTHING else new to my skin during this time.
I stopped using the benzoyl peroxide after about two weeks because the burning was too intense and the redness was not at all fading away. After about 2 or 3 weeks of not using the benzoyl peroxide, my skin stopped having the chemical burn but instead broke out in one of the worst breakouts I've had...well...since I was 17 and started the regimen! I started using the benzoyl peroxide again...in hopes that it was just a fluke thing and I again broke out in what seems like a chemical burn, but it helped to clear up some of the acne I had gotten from not using the cream.
I contacted Acne.org about this issue over a month ago and was given a very routine form letter saying that I "needed to let my skin adjust to the benzoyl peroxide" and that I needed to "use moisturizer and jojoba oil." I'm pretty dang sure that after 10 years, my skin is a little more than used to benzoyl peroxide and I also use a moisturizer with jojoba oil twice a day after putting the benzoyl peroxide on.
When I stated this to the sales rep over email, she said she would send me a complimentary bottle to see if that helped. I got the new bottle and am using it with the same exact chemical burn reaction. My skin looks and feels horrendous. Not only am I all broken out on my chin (probably remnants from not using the face cream for 2 or 3 weeks), but my skin has really itchy and burning red rashes all over it. Some of the patches even look like they are peeling away and showing shiny wound-like patches underneath. I don't know if this makes sense...I can take a picture if it helps!
I've tried multiple things:
I've tried using less benzoyl peroxide per finger length. Didn't help.
I've tried putting jojoba oil on my face prior to using benzoyl peroxide. This broke me out and didn't help with the chemical burn.
I've tried using benzoyl peroxide just once a day. Still burned my skin and broke me out.
This issue has been going on since early September. I honestly need help and don't know what's going on. The forums are my last hope for any advice. The sales rep from Acne.org is more blaming my skin than the product...but I've been using this stuff for 10 whole years and it's strange that it just started after using a new bottle.
Any suggestions? Does anyone know if there was a change to the formula at all? Any help or suggestions or advice will help!!! Thanks!

This happened to me and is still happening. I've been using the regimen consistently since 2005, and I've never used any other product other than Dan's BP.
I ordered my bottle in December and had the same reaction you described. I stopped using the BP all over my face and have only been spot treating, but now my forehead is breaking out horribly 
. This is so stressful, Dan's product always worked and now it's just burning my face. I went to a dermatologist last week and she suggested salicylic acid.
Does anyone know if the Dan's BP formula changed?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
