Why The Change In Aha/glycolic Acid?

I can have a bad sense of time sometimes, but ever since around late last year (2014), there seems to be a change in the glycolic acid lotion. It used to be thicker and creamer, but now it's liquidy and it just POURS out of the tube. There's also these little granules in the formula that weren't there in the old formula. I thought I got a bad batch so I recently ordered some more (within the last week) and it STILL is the liquidy, granuley formula. What happened?? I have been using it since about Jan. 2013 and it does not feel nice when I rub this grainy, liquidy lotion on my face.

Hi krsone,

I'm sorry to hear about your frustrations. Because we use a lot of naturally derived ingredients there can be variances from batch to batch. Also, higher temperatures may cause this product to decrease in viscosity. You might want to try storing it in a cool, dry area.

Rest assured that all of our products are triple batch tested and quality assured throughout the manufacturing process, but there are always variances between batches. Even if it might be slightly thinner or have a slightly different texture, it has the same effectiveness every time.
