How To Buff Away Flakes From Aha

I have been using the regimen now for maybe 6 weeks and I am starting to think it is improving my mild-moderate acne at last. I hope!

(I don't use the acne.org moisturiser - I use Cetaphil and a few drops of jojoba.)

I've been using the AHA glycolic acid for a few weeks and I really like it but I am wondering if there is a gentle way to buff away the dead skin flakes it causes? I don't want to scrub or pick as I know this will cause irritation, but I want my skin to be smoother and less flaky.

I like to wear makeup but haven't been able to using these products. Nothing goes anywhere near my eyes but even when I use under eye concealer the texture of the skin looks horrible and I am desperate to cover my eye bags! All my spots are lower on my face so it's frustrating that I can't put makeup on my eyes without my skin looking like woodchip.

Any advice would be welcome!
