Unfortunately, after mixing the large batch of SPF, which we were ready to bottle and sell, it did not come out exactly as we wanted. It™s back to the drawing board yet again. I won™t put anything up for sale until it™s perfect (or very close).

In the meantime, here is another SPF option that I think most people will find to be fantastic: In your palm, mix 1/4 to 1/3 teaspoon Neutrogena Clear Face SPF 30 with your regular moisturizer (i.e. 2 pumps of Acne.org Moisturizer), and apply very gently. Neutrogena Clear Face SPF 30 is a non-comedogenic, broad-spectrum option, which on its own is not moisturizing, but combines very well with other moisturizer and will provide all the support you need until we nail an SPF here at Acne.org.

I for one love the fact that you're not willing to sell something that you feel isn't perfect and also willing to test and offer great alternatives. I know when it eventually arrives, it will be crazy awesome.

I have never used SPF on my face...maybe I should invest in one soon. Do you use them all year round?

It's so hard to find ones specifically for the face here in the UK. I hate ordering everything online.

Lewis, IMO you generally dont need an SPF here in the UK unless it's particularly sunny.

I found one for the face just the other day, it's for my hols: http://www.boots.com/en/Hawaiian-Tropic-Sensitive-Face-Sun-Lotion-SPF30-120ml_1104245/

You maybe better with a moisturiser with an SPF 15, much less hassle and more appropriate for daily use in the UK.

Yeah...I mean right now it's the complete opposite of sunny where I am.

I use the body version of that sun lotion and I love it, so I'll get that one for my face. It smells good too!

Do you apply SPF before or after you moisturise?

lewis, actually some chemical barriers need skin to absorb it in. while physical ones makes this protective layer that u can wear on top of ur moisturiser but u can wear it 1st too.
