Hi guys!
I'v been on the regimen for close to five months now and things have gone well and everything has cleared up.
Up to today I've always used Benzac AC 2.5% as my treatment. A full fingers length every AM and another fingers length during the PM. I ordered the Acne.org BP about a month ago and I finally got to try it out today. This morning I used the instructed two full pumps of BP and found it to be too much. So this evening I used only one full pump and found it was more or less the same amount I used with Benzac fingers length measurement.
Am I missing something here? Was my finger's length of BP always lacking? Maybe my fingers are too small?
So yeah, I was just wondering about those regimen users who have tried switching it up from the tube to the pump.
Congrats on the new purchase! You'll love the Bp - it goes on smooth and even when you sweat, no one can tell you have it on. Why not continue to use the same amount you would use. Since that has kept you consistenty clear, there is no reason why Dan's BP should be any different. For me 2 pumps seems a lot so i am sticking to 1.5 for the time being

I'm really liking Dan's BP so far. It goes on really nicely. A little bit more watery than I'm used too though. The Benzac gel could hold its shape more when I dotted it all over my face. And yes, I plan on sticking with the one pump. I wouldn't want to dry my skin out by putting on more when I can get away with less BP. Crossing my fingers that this will still keep me clear.
Off topic. How long did it take for your skin to show improvements using the Benzac AC? I'm using the 5% one (just started last thursday, hasn't even been a week) since it's the one the pharmacist gave me. I'd really love to get my hands on Dan's BP but I live in the Philippines so I'll stick to OTC BP. I'm pretty eager for results. Thanks! And oh my acne is between light and moderate.

Hi Zephster and fellow Filipino!
Benzac is a great alternative. It worked really well to clear me up. I do recommend trying to get the 2.5% BP. I know they are not available in our pharmacies, but you can order it from Sulit.com.ph. It won't dry out and irritate your skin as much. I started on the 5% too and it was so harsh on my skin it felt like it was on fire for the most part. If you have friends or relatives coming back from the States, try to order yourself a few bottles of BP. That's what I did.
Anyway, using the Benzac, I was able to get completely clear by week 10. I broke out during weeks 4-6 but after that most of the acne started to slowly disappear. I think compared to other regimen users my acne went away pretty quickly. But don't get discouraged if your doesn't...it's different for everybody. Just stay consistent with the regimen and fight through the tough first weeks.
Hope that helped you out a bit.

Great! It's very unusual for me though, using the Benzac AC BP 5% doesn't irritate or dry me out at all. I mean no burns, no redness, I can even get away without using a moisturizer! (I do use moisturizer though just for the sake of using one). It's so weird since anybody who uses the BP goes through that "hell" period within the first few weeks until your skin adjusts. I guess my skin is used to the irritation and excessive dryness when I use my sulfur soap + clindamycin combo.
And 10 weeks... wow I don't think I'd be able to wait that long! I saw your older pictures and it really gives me hope that there is an answer to this friggin problem. Damn lucky you! I hope to get the same results if not better. Thanks for answering! I'll try to stick to using BP and see what happens in the next few months.

Sometimes with BP the side effects don't show up until maybe your 3rd or 4th week. It sort of creeps up on you. But then again, it is different for everybody..you might be one of the luckily ones who don't suffer to much from it. Getting clear in 10 weeks is actually pretty fast. In my case at least. My acne was pretty bad to begin with. Don't be in a rush, this whole thing is a process so try to clear your acne while still taking care of your skin.
Good luck!

Thank you so much for answering my questions. I really appreciate it! Have a good day
