I've been on Week 8 on the Regimen (using all Dan's products) and it was going great before I used Jojoba Oil. I ordered it because my skin was insanely dry and I needed relief.
After listening to people on this forum praising Jojoba Oil as if it were Jesus, I decided to use it. SO FAR- BIG MISTAKE!
After a week of using Jojoba Oil (12 drops into 2 pumps of moisturizer) and my skin in ON FIRE! Also, I did breakout somewhat (small).
I tried putting Jojoba Oil before the BP, and that made my skin BURN even more.
I look at myself in the mirror and it seriously looks like I have a sunburn (forehead and entire sides of my face). This is embarrassing.
Does anyone have an explanation why this is happening?
I'm standing-up at a wedding tomorrow where I'm groomsmen... And you know what I have to do now? I have to wear make-up. I'm a guy that has to wear make-up because Acne.org products made me look like a clown after almost two months of the Regimen.
Unreal. Very disappointed.
Not every product works for everyone. If something is making your face burn, stop using it!! You may need to experiment with different moisturisers to see which is best for you. It sounds as if you may have sensitive skin.
Hopefully others can offer suggestions as to alternatives.

Of course I have sensitive skin, I wouldn't be using acne products if I didn't. Jojoba Oil is what everyone on here suggested for my face for the dryness and redness, but for some reason I'm now having small breakouts and my skin is more read and burning.
Regardless, this Regimen treatment is ridiculous.
maybe because its just seeping into your skin a lot more than a moisturizer would. do you have cracked, dry, irritated hands during the winter? well most people use a lotion to help it heal but when you first put on the lotion it burns like a mother, right? i would keep on using it. i think your skin will become accustomed to it.
JoJoba made stung and burnt like crazy for me, but I tried to ignore it. About 5 minutes later I had hideous hives all over the skin I applied it to then a brea out after that, maybe you are allergic? and just getting the burny irritation from it and not the hives?
Just really bad burning irritation. I mean, it's stings THE HELL out of my skin after I use the BP (which that also burns my skin alone too). I tired putting it the Oil underneath my BP to sooth it, which it did at first, but then made it worse down the rd.
I've used it in my moisturizer (all regimen products) for over three years now and never had an issue. Now it's giving me red rashes and itching/burning. I thought my skin was just dry and irritated, but no other moisturizer feels this way. I'm done using it for good. Looks like someone strangled me!! (pic posted upside down of my neck)
Hello Abduffin,
I'm sorry to hear that you are having a sudden reaction to the Jojoba Oil. The picture does appear that your skin is highly irritated. Have you consulted a dermatologist or an allergologist on the reaction to the Jojoba Oil? I would advise that you seek medical attention to help you determine on what caused this type of reaction and to avoid this from happening in the future. We hope that your skin is in better condition now.

Hi Giselle1,
Thank you for your input. Every batch of our Acne.org products are assayed and inspected by our quality control team therefore contamination is very unlikely. However, if a customer does have an allergic reaction to our products, they may always return the products to our head office.
I had that reaction once too, but I don't think it's the jojoba oil because I'm using products with jojoba oil now and I'm fine. Maybe it's contaminated?
update: I quit using the jojoba oil way back when, I'm terrible about keeping up with this forum so I apologize this is very very late. It eventually cleared upon removing that batch of jojoba from my regimen. I sometimes still get minor redness on my neck and eyelids which looks like the start of what the photo shows it can become. I use EvanHealy pomegranate repair serum on it when that happens and it goes away quickly, but is definitely too heavy to use regularly.
I use jojoba again, from acne.org. My fianc© and I used it as a full body moisturizer and massage oil for the past six months without incident. Based on all of this I think I have a season based eczema issue, and that batch was off which increased the irritation-- especially since I've seen other posts about this same problem around the same time.
THANKS FOR THE RESPONSE ACNE.ORG, I wish I had traveled back to the forum to see it earlier.
