Of particular interest to me was omega 3 supplements and what to look for when choosing one. The most important thing is the amount of EPA...the higher the EPA, the better it is for acne. Many brands have more DHA than EPA which is more geared for heart health and not inflammation...look for a brand that has a mix of both, but where the EPA is higher than DHA. EPA is definitely the better anti-inflammatory of the two. 1000 mgs of EPA omega 3 daily is optimal for combating inflammation (also supports mood which is an added bonus! Who around here couldn't stand to feel a little happier!) If the amount of EPA isn't listed or is very low, then just put it back on the shelf. I'd look for a brand with at least 400 mgs of EPA omega 3 to avoid taking more than 3 caps per day.

Shopping for the right omega 3 supplement and spending a little more on a good-quality one is definitely worthwhile! :)
