110 pounds for your height doesn't seem all that bad. And why are your parents so insistent that you gain weight? First of all, you are not chronically underweight and secondly, the body is yours. That is, the choice is yours.
One more thing, you need to understand that diet has little (if anything at all) to do with acne. If that were the case, why don't you see people eating junk food break out? If you really wish to gain weight, I think milk is a good option. Take it in moderation and go to the gym. This way, you'd be gaining muscle instead of pure fat.

That seems ok to me. I only weigh a little more then you but i'm taller. If you're currently eating adequate calories and feel healthy then i don't think there's a need to try to put on weight. People have different body types and sizes. I've always been naturally thin no matter what i eat.
When it comes to diets for acne different people may experience break outs from different foods so its hard to recommend a particular food to you, you might have to just experiment. More carbs like rice or pasta, more fats or more meats - it depends what you like to eat?? Many people find dairy makes their acne worse but might be ok with yogurt.
Do you feel you need to put on weight or are you just going by some bmi table/chart in a book? Only you know if you feel satisfied with your level of food intake and health. I get sick of people telling me i'm too thin. I sometimes think i'd like to be a little fatter but i like eating healthy and i don't want to have to stuff my face with junk food just to put on a few kilos. It probably wouldnt work anyways cos i ate like that when i was a teenager and was still thin

Yes you are on the border to beingunderweight. Eat some healthy fat: coconut oil, olive oil, coconut milk, almonds. (coconut is saturated fat, but the content is different from saturated fat in dairy and meat, and will not cause acne) If it doesn't put up your weight, you need to eat some low Gi carbs, brown rice, full wheat pasta etc.

Yes it does

Diet has everything to do with acne.

Milk causes acne fromsaturated fat and IGF-1.

This is on the other hand good advise.

Not really avoid high GI carbohydrates, dairy and too much saturated fat (a little will not hurt you)

Yes it does -- 110 pounds is 49kg. Don't forget he/she is only 5 foot 4. That evens out his/her appearance. Have you even seen tall, skinny guys before? I mean skinny as in skinny as in stick-thin skinny.
Diet has everything to do with acne. -- Because you say so?
Milk causes acne fromsaturated fat and IGF-1. -- For every milk drinker with acne, I can find you 50 others without. Make that 500.
This is on the other hand good advise. -- I think you meant 'advice'.

And so what if he's a guy? That he's got to live up to society's expectations of being buff and strong, and being able to protect the fairer sex? Come on, what kind of remark is that? "He is a guy!!". And you seem somewhat indignant, what with the use of two exclamation marks. Sheesh.

Ok. So what I should have written was, from a scientific perspective he is on the border to being underweight.
From a scientific perspective diet has everything to do with acne.
From a scientific perspective milk cause acne from igf-1 and saturated fat content.
Ispeak danish, norwegian, swedish, german, spanish and english. And yes sometimes I make a mistake, thank you for letting me know.
Have a nice day
sweet potatoes helped me gain weight when I was underweight. Also, avocadoes - healthy fats
Gaining weight is a simple equation. Calories in>Calories out. Now unless you physically exercise only so much will undergo glycogenesis and be readily stored away in our intramuscular glycogen stores. Everything else will undergo lipogenesis and become fatty acids which will further encounter an esterification via triglyceride synthesis and stored away in our adipocytes as adipose tissue (fat).
Just eat. Eat a lot. And eat good. I used to be a skinny little kid when I was 16 standing at 6' 5'' 168lbs. Now I'm 23 6' 5'' 203lbs (No I'm not fat).

Lol Esney...
This one is tricky since you will want to eat unhealthy food to gain weigh but usually unhealthy food with a lot of fat and fast carbsequals in acne. I would recommend you to eat a lot of nuts since they are both healthy and high in fat, healthy fats that will do good for you. Also rice and pasta but substitute the "normal" pasta and rice with gluten free and wholegrain options. Instead of using normal cooking cream for your sauces, use a diary free cooking cream.
Try to increase your intake of healthy food to reach a high amount of calories rather than eating little food high in calories and fats such as burgers and fries.
Take shots of Coconut oil, do that and you will have more energy throughout day andworking out, around 150caloriesper table spoon. Chuck it into a protein shake to make it taste better. I take around 8 a day for muscle gains, extra caloriesand to keep me energized.
Make sure you consume more calories than you are using to gain weight
Also doesn't make you break out.
