Hey,

Wont give you a massive story, but I took accutane for 6 months, it destroyed my skin and left me with horrible red marks and scarring. 3 months after stopping, spots started up again and now its been 6 months since I stopped. My face is more oily than ever. I've been doing a lot of reading today to look at more natural cures to oily skin as I have never actually tried any of them. I saw a couple of things about liquid chlorophyll and dandelion root capsules which I will probably end up taking soon (something to do with detoxing). I also decided to stop all dairy 4 days ago.

Anyway, today I picked up some vitamin D tablets (checked ingredients and its D3) which are 10 micrograms a tablet which I believe is around 400 IU. I read how it helped some people in reducing oil production but these people are saying they were taking around 2000 IU? On the label for these tablets it says not to take more than one tablet a day which is only 400 IU.

Basically I am a bit confused as to how much I should probably be taking! I was thinking 2 and a half tablets so 1000 IU to start with?

Thanks!

Well if you are deficient in D3 most people take 5000IU for a month or so then drop it down to 2000IU/ 1000IU to maintain it. Research shows its safe up to 10,000IUs so Id start at 1000 and you can always increase it.
