Just wandering if anyone knows if pantethine (not pantothenic acid) is able to cause hair loss at all at doses of around 900mg a day (1x 300mg, three times a day)? I wanted to try taking this in combination with L-Carnitine, maybe 750mg a day (1x 250mg, three times a day at the same time) unless someone can recommend a better ratio between the two supplements and/or can tell me if the acetyl l-carnitine is better for this combination?
I don't think I will risk it if there is a high chance of hair loss after extended use- I'm a 17 year old guy with thick and healthy short/medium length hair if that helps at all.
Any replies would be very appreciated
Thanks!
There've been several threads by people trying the B5 mega dosing that say it does.
Yeah I've seen a few of them and please correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't they megadosing on pantothenic acid, rather than pantethine which is similar but not the same thing?
You'll have to check. I know there have been threads on pantethine. What the people losing their hair took, I don't know.

I've searched around a bit and it's really hard to find people that have said they have experienced hair loss with pantethine, most people either say they are megadosing on either pantothenic acid or simply "vitamin b5". Not many have/are using pantethine so it's really hard to tell if the possible adverse effects are the same.
Thank you for taking the time to reply to this thread though, I really appreciate it (I'm finding it really hard to read that in a sincere tone haha, it's not meant to be sarcastic I promise).
