I typically see a lot of "avoid all alcohol" statements in these threads. Here are some studies that state why having that glass of wine with dinner might actually be good for you.

Yes a little alcohol is good for you. Key word there is little. Very little. The alcohol in water kefir is a good way to get it. Wine or cognac soaked raisins are good. Since I prefer sweet wines and whites that are good with spicy food, what I do is mix a little wine with my unsweetened hibiscus tea and call it sangria. I think its delicious.
