So I came across this article about teeth re-mineralization. It pretty much argues that phytic acid (something found in most grains, seeds, nuts, etc) prevent us from getting the most out of the minerals we consume, therefore contributes to the myth that teeth cannot heal itself. Well, people found that after starting a diet (known as paleo diet), they noticed an immense recovery in their dental health. I was wondering if this could also be applied with skin. Now, I don't think this will necessarily PREVENT acne, but it may help prevent scarring and even improve acne-healing. I was going to start this paleo diet, while also consuming the fats, vitamins and supplements that will aid my skin. I'm going to post my diet regimen soon, I'll keep you guys posted.
I think we do far more harm in other ways. First, most today hardly consume any nutrients, conventional farming methods deplete soils of minerals, we consume fluoride that causes the misdirection of calcium & phosphoric acid and other acidic foods that cause the body to take calcium Out of your bones to neutralize, and we consume massive amounts of sugar & other carbs that feed bacteria growth.
Limit grain consumption and prepare them properly with soaking, sprouting or fermentation to reduce phytic acid and other antinutrients and make nutrients more bioavailable. Don't drink sugar. Rinse mouth after consuming acidic things. Chamomile tea is alkalinizing which is another reason it's a good drink before bed. Most tap water is also slightly alkaline.
Some claim the glycerin in toothpaste coats your mouth so that the minerals that should be in your saliva can't adhere to teeth to remineralize them. You can use a tooth powder instead. Od dry brush. I've read claims in many places for years that dry brushing is the best way to remove plaque.
