Hi guys,

I dont know what to do anymore ok so I started using a steroid cream/lotion (unintentionally)

4 years ago since then I started to get oily skin, large pores and the worst body acne.

My skin has never been the same since then I tried vitamin b5 it worked for my oily face

but did nothing for my body. Im currently taken vitamin d and recently started vitamin a

Im seeing improvements on my face but nothing on my body.

Tried retin a AHA creams nothing worked on my body.

My body acne arent cysts they are pimples and blackheads it looks kinda like

goose skin.

What supplements/herbs can I take to normalize my skin function?

Thanks for replying.

I dont have hormonal acne. I have cosmetic acne my skin produced too much sebum

so everytime I use a moisturizer,shower gel(non comodegenic) etc. I break out

this started after I used the steroid cream/lotion.

So my question is if there is anything that could reduce sebum production on my body.

accutane is suppose to reduce sebum production.

u could use low dose.

most here use as high as 40 to 80mg but i was prescribed 20mg and later 10mg.

u could use just 10 mg.ask ur derma.

if ur sebum is ur only problem then u can use it.

also,i highly recommend a low% (may 1% or even less) aha face wash.

i use saslic(as prescribed) and i am happy with it.

its said to keep u dry for long time, unclog ur pores also remove dead layer cells.

What are your diet habits like? And that includes drinks and snacks. What about sleeping habits?

If something works for you face, stick with it - the skin on your body is much thicker and more resistant, but it does eventually respond to treatment (just takes a little longer). Patience :)

Perhaps it's keratosis pilaris? Moisturizing with a high linoleic acid oil like grapeseed can help. As can a BHA or AHA. You could try ACV toner dilluted with green tea.

My diet is ok.. I only drink water nothing else.

I sleep 7 hours everyday except on weekends.

Does anyone know hot to slow oil production on the body?...any ideas?

I find that diet influences sebum production, especially being deficient in a vitamin. I would start by cutting out dairy. You could try making smoothies as well, especially green smoothies if you're ok with them.

A daily high dose of vitamin A will reduce oil production.

the changes in your skin probably have nothing to do with the cream.

zinc.zinc.zinc along with vitamin b complex!!

I've tried it but it broke me out...(not an internal breakout)

Does vitamin b complex really reduce sebum/oil production

on the body?

I've tried zinc*

zinc broke u out.

u will want to see if its just synthetic products that break u out or any kind?

also, make sure there's no other ingredients(whether active or otherwise) that u're intolerant.it might not have been zinc that caused it in the 1st place.

vitamins help in reducing oil over all.

did u try any multivitamin?

yes, it completely cleared up the 50 inflamed pimples I would otherwise have on my back. My shoulders were becoming too dry though. I took the doses in this study. http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/j.1365-4362.1981.tb04338.x/abstract
