Eat Mostly Paleo, But Is That The Right Diet For My Oily, Acne-Prone Skin?

Hi there! I'm new to this site and forums, but could really use some support and advice. I'm 30, female, have had various types of acne since my teenage years. For the past year or so, I've ONLY had breakouts on my jaw and chin, nowhere else. I've noticed that my skin has been very oily, even though I use all oil-free and gentle products. I had cystic acne on my chin, but the cysts are more rare now, though I've started getting frequent white heads on my chin due to excessive oil. I've recently started eating a mostly-Paleo diet and completely avoid all dairy and grains, no processed foods (though I never really ate that before either), and very much limit sugar. I do eat a lot of protein (meat, eggs, fish) and lots of veggies, but the only supplements I take are a probiotic, B complex, and omega 3-6-9. Should I be taking something else? Is anyone following this diet and how has it affected your skin?

zinc.

i was prescribed zevit(vit b complex + c+ zinc sulphate).

did u ever try any antibiotic?topical or oral?

ur diet now should help.

have lots lots of water.

green tea if possible.

also add cardamon(abt 1g) after lunch and dinner.(to maintain ur insulin level).

and have lemon water(a cup of warm water with half a lemon squeezed in it) 1st thing in the morning.

it could be hormonal.

what kinda washes or products do u use?

The omega 3-6-9 supplement might be breaking you out. We usually get plenty of omega 6 from our diets and don't need to supplement. And the oils typically used in these types of supplements can cause breakouts for other reasons. They're often rancid, and some of them like flax oil can mess with your hormones. I'd ditch that supp and see if your skin improves. Then add fish oil or cod liver oil for omega 3s, and see if you tolerate that.
