Hey everyone i used to have acne all over my face but i have cleared almost all of it all natural. I still get minor breakouts on my chin? What is the last step to finally get all clear?
What i eat:
Morning:
Avocado
Raw Vegetables with coconut or olive oil
Water Kefir
Lunch:
All kind of beans.
Raw vegetables with olive oil or coconut oil
Salmon or smoked mackerel
One apple
Dinner:
Another avocado
All kind of beans again
Raw salat with olive oil or coconut oil
Before bed:
Waterkefir
Problem area is chin and beetween eyebrows. I think the acne beetween eyebrows are caused by eating raw garlic, its almost clear since i stopped. The only problem i have had the last weeks are on my chin.
I really think it could be caused by raw carrots and apples? What do you think? Maybe it spikes my blood sugar too much.
How i wash my face:
everynight i wash my face with warm water, then rub an icecube all over my face and wash with cold water. Then put a thin layer of extra virgin olive oil on my face.
I
I wouldn't recommend loading up on beans. Eating beans was what took me down after a period of having clear skin for almost a year. I thought I was safe and started eating a lot of beans and they damaged my gut over time and now I'm still trying to get clear again (It's been 3-4 months without beans now). Beans contain something that damages the digestive track and can make it begin to leak again. Since you're doing water kefir, I assume working on healing your gut is important to you. I bet if you stick to the paleo diet entirely (no beans, no grains) you will see the improvement.
You may be onto something with the blood sugar. Carrots won't cause too much of a spike unless they are baked but apples will. I would add something like chromium picolinate to your diet or ALA- and cut out some of the beans- the paleo solution doesn't even allow beans. Also what is water kefir? And between the eyes according to Chinese medicine corresponds with the liver. Do you smoke or drink?
I agree with dejaclairevoyant, I would start by experimenting with the beans first. Then you can look into the coconut oil, then the apples/carrots if you really have a sneaking suspicion. If you're worried about spiking blood sugar levels then you can try substituting with berries.
Thanks for ALL the great answers.
It will be very hard to cut out all the beans and lentils since i don't eat, dairy, sugar, gluten and only fish. The acne between the eyebrows is definatly too strenous excersise or too much raw garlic (i think its too much garlic). Since i only break out around my chinarea i have a feeling that its something with my hormones. I keep my blood sugar very low, but then again, i eat lot of carrots and apples, maybe it spikes the blood sugar and starts the insulin and so on..... I will try to cut out the carrots and apples and see how that works. Its the final step i need to get 100% clear i would say i am 98-99%.
If eating the beans was the problem i would have acne all over my face because i eat it pretty much every day. But i will definately cut back on it if it causes digestion problems in the long run.THanks for info
To answer the other question:
- I don't think acne for me is a topical problem so changing my very simple regimen which i love will not clear me 100%.
- I use to have lot of acne everywhere else than the cheeks which i am forever thankful for! I went from bad acne to almost clear i would say 90% in 1 mounth by fasting, changing diet, drinking a gallon of water everyday and keeping my skin clean, everyday when i wake up i can see my skin gets better because i live so fucking healthy. But i still get small pimples on my chin which pisses me off, and yes i want to be all clear like in the good old days!

I don't really agree with this. For me, eating certain foods I am allergic to will break me out only on my chin.
But so will too many carbs... even from fruit, but especially raw fruit. Boiled fruit is safer for me as boiling reduces the sugar content.

Thanks for the answer. I don't think i have food allergies for beans. Since i made this thread i cut out apples and carrots and have not had any new breakouts and the once i had are gone. What could my acne cause be??
