After much research and trying to understand why my flaxseed oil is causing me to breakout, I have come across Carlson Labs fish oil. Now I know a lot of people on here are using this oil. After looking at the supplement information, I found that 1 tsp has 800 mg of epa and 500 mg of dha. Doing further research, I found that to really maximize the anti-inflammatory response epa has to offer, you want around 1.8 grams of epa alone. Does anyone on here concur? in order for me to get that recommended 1.8 grams of epa, I would taking about a 2-3 tsp's of carlsons oil. I'm just wondering what others are doing and if it is successful...I'm so sick and tired of this acne! eusa_wall.gif

I have only seen the 1.8/g figure on one youtube video, and it was basically some random guy's opinion. I'd stick with 2tsp per day

Hi somehelp123,

Do you keep your flax oil in the fridge? Also what makes you think it was the flax breaking you out? Were you fine until you started consuming it? Or did you notice a sudden increase in acne once you started?

Also what is the rest of your diet like? As far as things you've eliminated, or things you consume regularly...

And do you have any type of face routine? Like cleansers, toners, creams, makeup, etc.
