Hey all. I bought the kirkland fish oil (1 a day) and Nature's Bounty Zinc. I started taking both, and I notice my skin feels less oily already. However, I broke out a little bit, but I guess this is just the initial breakout lol. My question is, what other supplements should I take? I'm already taking a multivitamin. What vitamin would you recommend I buy next to supplement these 2? Vitamin A? D? B5? Anything? Thanks.

UPDATE: I have been taking 2 "fish oil one-a-days" per day, 3 multivitamins, and 1 zinc per day. I have gotten significantly less oily, but I have broken out in small bursts. Small pimples. Will this go away soon? Or is it the fish oil or the zinc causing this? What could it be?

If your multivitamin contains Iodine It is the likely cause of a breakout.

It's hard to find a multivitamin that doesn't have extra ingredients that can harm rather than help.

For acne, things that can help:

Vitamin D-3 (1000-5000 IUs)

Vitamin A (5000-10,000 IUs)

Saw Palmetto (320mg)

This is the OP again. I decided to reduce my fish oil one-a-day to only 1 pill per day instead of 2. Also, I decided to just take 2 multivitamins (1 serving), instead of 3 per day (1.5 servings).

Since my fish oil is omega 3's, and has no omega 6's I think this is good because I read that most people have to reduce the percentage of omega 6's compared to omega 3's.

Since my reduction a few days ago, I don't seem to be getting small breakouts anymore. Hmm. I will continue to update this thread.

My multivitamin doesn't have iodine. I use this one:
