Apparently there's good vs bad bacteria battle on our skin just like there is in our intestines.

There are products coming out that include probiotics to help restore that balance to our skin.

Anyone ever tried these?

Ever had success with yogurt masks? (same basic concept)

here's a couple links i found

Hmm, never heard of that. I take probiotics for my inside though. I have just heard of antibiotics for the face which may work similarly.

I know this is a two year old posts, but people google these in desperation for some helpful information and answers...So, here I am responding to a 2 year old post, LOL!

I just started doing it myself and I really like it a lot! Ive been using plain greek yogurt...heard sour cream works too...I live in Florida and I have very oily skin...Ever since Ive been here, Ive had really bad problems every summer...The heat turns my skin into a veritable oil slick...You could probably get a few barrels out of it, lol. Anyway, after using it for two days, the oil is gone! And I dont mean for like an hour or two, till I start to sweat...I mean ALL DAY!! That alone made me a convert. Theres an article that explains exactly why its thought to work so well. I cant find the link at the moment but I remember the title is "Acne Vulgaris, probiotics and the Gut-Brain-Skin Axis" Really good stuff, google it and youll see the article...Made me a believer. My skin is slowly beginning to heal without being hampered by all the excess oil, and my blemishes are slowly coming under control...I dont have to use any harsh BP cleaners anymore, which I believe were stripping my skin, ruining my PH, and causing a vicious cycle...

I used to use a yogurt mask all the time, really made my skin a nice texture. I only stopped because of how messy it was. Good stuff though. Makes sense, people use antibiotic creams all the time, probiotic creams sound like something health companies will jump on in the next couple years.

i just found that article today. i actually cracked open my probiotic pill and mixed it with water. then i applied this to my face. id like to use the yogurt but i think this will work as well. i will keep you posted if it gets rid of my acne. this is really the thing that makes the most sense that i have ever found to cure acne other than antibiotics and accutance/retin a.
