Ok, I finally got my skinB5 powder! In the instructions it says it is required to take 15g a day to see optimal results. I've never seen any info on 15g on the forum, it is always 10g/ day. Is powder different than pills??

WARNING. I've come back to say that B5 has failed me finally. After 4 months at 10 g, I dropped to 7g,then to 6g for two weeks, my acne not only came back, but came back with avengence. My poors are INFLAMED, I mean not puss, but inflamed poors I believe from no oil being able to make healthy skin. Also, it doesn't matter what I try, I still break out. I started breaking out bad on my forehead and around my nose and other areas I used to never get spots. I had no side effects besides the occasional eye lash loss and gold urine, but my face has actually gotten worse and I'm going to slowly come off. I went from moderate acne to mild for a week, then BAM for a month, to severe inflamed. I'm coming off to go on accutane. After 2 years of trying everything. Nothing works so I'm sure accutane will work for me as my cousin has been on it and I'm pretty healthy now.

Acne has now made me quit smoking at 6 months free now, quit even social drinking at one year now, not a sip.

I hate this shit on my face.

End of rant.

B5 users, it will work for body acne though but make your face worse FOR SOME PEOPLE like me. Doesn't matter what I tried I spent $$$$$$$$ on everything from the DKR stuff to every moisturizer and different cleanser and tried them for months by correct regime.

Accutane is my only answer now if I want to have a lot less scars in my future.

I'm 20 and white male.

I'm out.

Hi, I bought a bottle of vitamin b-5 last year. I haven't started using it yet because I've been a bit scared to start. But I have just started a beauty therapy course where every girls skin is perfect. Mine is really oily, not really many blemishes just really oily. Will this work to slow down the oil production because I hate my skin at the moment. If this doesn't work should i try antibiotics? Im on the pill and worry thta it will interfere.

Thanks

I was looking at the B5complete on the acnemiracle.org website. Unfortunately, the website seems to be defunct (the order form doesn't work). Is there some other B5 supplement that is similar (in that it contains the B-complex, zinc, etc) that anyone knows to work?

I've been on B5 for three months now to no avail whatsoever on my face! My bacn is slightly improved but i am still mega oily.

I've been on 7.5 grams per day. I've tried 10 grams and that didn't work at all so i thought might aswell save a bit of money i test it out for a longer duration on 7.5 grams.

Any advice?

Thanks.

I was taking 6 grams b5 per day for one month (3 with breakfast and 3 with dinner). Then 2 grams per day for 5 months (1 gram with breakfast and dinner). My back was completely clear and my face had only a few blemishes that were healing. In the last 4 weeks I reduced my intake to 1 gram per day but I noticed that the good effects on my skin were reversing so I am back to taking 2 grams per day. I'll see how that goes for the next month or so.

Hi there.

I am 35, male with very, very mild acne on my back and shoulders. It was much worse when I was younger and I was on accutane for a while and it cleared up the majority of my acne but returned slowly but never as bad as it was.

Anyway, I decided to try B5 after accidentally stumbling across this online. After 1 week I must say I have notice a big difference. Even though my acne was mild this is the best I can ever remember my skin being. I have been taken 5 grams a day along with a B-100. I think with my age that I don't need even 5grams as my acne was very mild in the first place so I will reduce to maybe 3 grams after 2 months if the current success continues. I had a mild headache for 2-3 days but apart from that no side effects so far.

I was just wondering since this thread was started in 2003 and we are now in 2008 what is the general consensus on B5? Are there alternatives that people have found since 2003? How about Pantethine Acid instead of B5? I read about this some where and a much lower dosage is required but it is basically the same and just as effective.

Anyway, nice speaking to you.

Michael
