Acne can be mildly affected by climate, but usually it's a sign that something isn't right in the body. You shouldn't have it in any climate. But I've lived in a year round humidity and hot temperature area for years (peak 98 real feel 110). I've also lived in a super cold, rarely ever humid area with no significant difference. (low -46) FYI this is Fahrenheit
Also, I dunno about desert, but there is rumored to be a civilization in South America with an extremely high percentage of acne to the point where it's not considered to be an issue.
