Hi. I've been living with acne for 15 years since I was 10 I started breaking out. My type of breakout are whiteheads. I use to get them all over my back, my chest, when I was young but I grew out that stage around 14 or 15. But I still get a lot of tiny bumps around my cheek, my neck, area mostly. And recently I've been feeling really down and sad.

The emotional damage and mental damage acne causes a person is no joke. After 15 years even though it's not as severe every little bump makes me want to scratch out my face.

I want to get treatment but can't afford a professional doctor. I've probably spent 1000's over the year on overcounter medicine. I've tried the acids, the benzoyl, chemical peels, clarasonic, proactive, clinque, clay mask, murad, birth controls and much more but it never works permanently. My skin will clear for a month or so then go back.

The only thing that ever worked good was going to for facials where they extract the whiteheads Tom the skin but that cost me 85 dollars a month which I can't afford. So continue to look for other options. I work a minimum wage job so I can't afford facials every month.

I know that there are people with worst acne but psychologically I can't help but feel ugly and disgusting when I look in he mirror. The worst part of the day was washing of my makeup at night where i can feel the bumps on my cheek and chin then would just make me so stressed. Now that I've stop wearing makeup the acne didn't get better. When I exfoliate it makes my pores really big so I can't really scrub. I have to use a gentle cleanser ur my skin will over produce oil and I'll feel nasty and greasy all over. I can't use any treatments or my skin will produce more oil. Overall my just so frustrated

I'm in the third trimester of pregnancy now. And honestly feel so unattractive and hormonal not to mention fat and the skin is just making me feel worse everyday. I usually don't do forum anything but I thought sharing will make feel a little better at least. Thanks

Hey Sinie, I know this won't do much good but I definitely am familiar with the embarrassment acne can give. I know you said you've tried different treatments, but have you tried Benzoyl peroxide along with a diligent skincare regimen of cleansing and moisturizing?

Acne.org has a 3-step regimen designed to completely clear acne, and many people have had great success using it. You can learn about it here:  http://www.acne.org/regimen

If you haven't tried it or you haven't tried any similar treatment with the same products, I'd be willing to send you the regimen products from acne.org for free. Shoot me a private message if you're interested :)

Yeah definitely give the regimen a shot! I remember hating my face when the new semester started (beginning of Sept.) and I could not even look my friends in their eyes when I was talking to them. Cysts and whiteheads everywhere and I had huge pores and uneven skin tone. I started the regiment on Sept 27th, with little hope. I didn't want to use Accutane, and I am still on birth control, which is the only kind of oral treatment I'm willing to take. It's the first day of my 4th week on the regimen. My face is so much clearer. I don't cringe anymore when I look into the mirror and my face feels so smooth whenever I wash my face. The dryness is really annoying and sometimes painful when I wake up in the morning, but what's dryness compared to red bumps all over my face?
I'm still on the regimen and I will stick to it since a lot of people here got crystal clear skin in 3months. Please try it. I was super skeptical when I started but now I just rave about it whenever I get a chance. You won't be disappointed!
