I'vestruggledwith acne since about 5th grade andI'm currently a senior in high school. Nothing has ever seemed to work for me, and i've tried a lot!!!I hate my acne because itmakes me feel so selfconscious, and lonely. Nobody I know has bad acne so nobody understands when I talk about how much it sucks! Myfriends just say "its fine" when deep down its really hurting me. Looking in the mirror sometimes just makes me cry because how much my acne upsets me. I have tried loads of products and none of them have done anything for my acne. For example I've used proactiv, epiduo, clean n' clear, acne free, eating healthier, african black soap, doxycycline, and currently usingretinae!Still usingthese has notdone athing to help.I'm here to ask if anything does work?? I don't think dairy is the cause because I don't eat itmuch to begin with. I just feelcompletelyhopeless and I just don't know what to do at this point..So what works for you?? How do I cope with having bad acne?
Hi I totally understand how you feel. I'm now a senior in college and I started fighting acne when I was in middle school. Birth control saved me once - I was on Mononessa for one year and a half and it cured my SEVERE acne completely in a year. However, after I switched brand everything went to hell again. I started to get acne again at the beginning of this year, and it got progressively worse. I got back on Mononessa two weeks ago but I knew that even if it could help me again this time, I would have to wait for another year for it to work its wonder. NOW HERE'S SOMETHING YOU CAN TRY: benzoyl peroxide. I suggest that you read about the regimen here on this website. I ordered their product last week but it has not arrived yet. I went to Walgreens and bought 4% PanOxyl face wash on Sept. 23rd. This is my fourth day, and my face feels so much smoother. All of the acnes on my cheeks went away (I've always had more than ten active painful cysts on my cheeks). The red marks are still there, but my face does not hurt anymore when I wash it - and I'm pretty sure that if I don't get new breakouts, those marks will eventually fade away. Today I had breakfast with my best friend, the only person with whom I've talked about how much acne had screwed up my college life. She saw me and said, wow, to be completely honest, your face looks so much better.
I was thrilled to hear that, and that piece of comment literally made my day. PLEASE READ ABOUT THE REGIMEN, or do research about benzoyl peroxide in general. It works, and everything makes chemical sense. I've read so many positive reviews about it, and I'm confident that it will help me get rid of acne within a few months - and I have pretty bad cysts caused by my hormones.
I really hope that you will find something that works. I'm rooting for you!

Thank you so much for your response! Glad your skin is clearing up. I have tried many products with benzoyl peroxide with no luck but I definitely will look into the regimen and panoxyl!
