hello everyone, I have been suffering with cystic acne for a long time now. Like 8 years. I am a 29 year old female with 3 kids and what i have noticed was that after having my first is when i noticed that this acne has got out of control. It has altered my personality. I used to be confident, happy and not depressed at all. Now sadly, i suffer from all of the above plus more. the cysts have left craters in my face and its devistating .
I have been using the bentonite clay mask for a couple days (not in a row) but what i notice is that the next day after using it , it is causing me to have more cysts then what i started with . could this possibly be the fact that it is clearing up all the bacteria in my pores and that if i contine to use this that it will eventually have cleaned it up enough that it will start helping or should i just stop?

A lot of us on this site feel the exact same. I for one feel very depressed because of my skin.

Have you been to your doctors about it? On birth control now or any other medication for it?

I would go easy on the clay, things like that should be used once per week because they can irritate the skin due to "drawing stuff out".

Hey there. I am 32 and I feel you. I've had cystic acne after my son was born and I also had a tubal ligation which can mess with your hormones.
i think clay masks are a good idea. I also like turmeric, honey and milk mask.( just be careful it can stain a bit). I like crushed aspirin for a spot treatment.
I noticed certain foods cause break outs, for me its dairy, certain fruits and deep fried stuff( certain oils). I suggest you try eliminating anything you suspect for a week at a time.
I never expected to be in my 30s with freaking acne. I just started spironolactone.

I agree with MissSac, too much of anything isn't always a good idea just like drinking too much water. Try to switch up to another thing, you need to surprise your skin
