I thought I would make a post where we could give suggestions to everyone for tips on dealing with your acne or scarring. I'll start with my tips that have helped me immensely!
Exercise/diet - For me, I was always really skinny/scrawny. Since my skin was beyond my control (past what I was doing), I took control of my body - I started bulking and going to the gym for the first time in my life. This is more of a long-term helper, but it has helped me the most with my confidence. It's good for your overall health and amazing for stress relief too.
Venting privately or online - Talking about my skin issues with my mom helped a lot too since she had gone through a lot of acne too. I would also use chat rooms where you can vent to a stranger. Rarely I would just start swearing loudly and badly when I was alone...lol. I know some people will disagree with that, but it made me feel better when I was having a bad day.
Avoiding mirrors - Looking at myself in bad lighting would ruin the whole day, so I just stopped using most mirrors. The one I did use was in indirect lighting and I tried to not get close. It's great for stopping picking too.
Those tips helped me out the most. I still have a couple bad days but I'm so much better than I was. What is helping all of you cope with your acne or scarring?
