Ok the year is 2030 and with today's technology people now actually have the option to replace or erase any memories they wish to get rid of at a price affordable to almost anyone. All those embarrassing moment's, all the insults, bad looks, miserable days caused by acne. All gone just like that replaced with a moment of your choosing that's either you without acne or just not remembering them at all and as a result you experience a major personality change for the better. A happy person, able to go about life in a mentally healthy state. The operation itself would be painless in minimally intrusive, So what do yo say would yo take the plunge and go ahead and do it? For me it's a hell to the yes lol, something like that would be priceless for me really...

Nope, couldn't do it. I don't understand human's obsession with erasing their humanity. Your memories and experiences shape you and it'd be unwise to manipulate your mind like that. I know we've been through some s*** and some of us still do, but extremes such as this will only serve to destroy you in the end. Find more positive, less damaging alternatives. Have you tried yoga? Buddhism?. Both have a profoundly positive effect on your mind.

You come up with some interesting threads from time to time...

I wouldn't do it. As much as the bad or embarrassing experiences suck, they make you who you are and that can be a positive thing depending on how you deal with / live with it.

But this reminds me of the movie Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind because erasing memories is the key plot point I guess. I thought it was a good movie.

Hey thank's =), yeah i like to think i have a good amount of imagination and i like keeping the board interesting once in a while lol. I like this particular post because it gives a person like me another way to deal with this, not just the average "deal with it motto". someone might read it and think jeez might not half to live with it forever and that's thought is nice... On a side note if high tech lives up to it's expectations i think acne will be cured within this decade.

Nope, wouldn't do it either. Those painful memories are what shaped me into being a stronger person than I thought I could ever be.

I hate acne, but in a weird way I'm kind of proud of the physical scars its given me. It reminds me of how I've been to hell and back but here I am still standing strong banana.gif
