I have an ex friend with amazingly flawless skin. We were shopping and she got something free from a guy which I had to pay for mine. She said because she had flawless skin she got it free. Guys do always go for girls with flawless skin at my work too. I feel so ashamed when this happens right to my face. How can I handle this next time?

First of all, if your friend literally said that in front of you knowing you have acne and she doesn't, she's a bitch.

Secondly, I seriously doubt your skin has much to do with it unless your acne is pretty severe. If anything, your friend is getting that kind of attention because she is confident.

She is very conceided and wants me to feel bad about myself. She told me I have wrinkly skin where my acne was. UGH! This is why I don't talk to her anymore, she sends me crying for days!!!

That's horrible. I'm glad you were strong enough to leave that toxic relationship behind. She may have clear skin, but she's far from flawless inside.

Like Deja said, that person is definitely not a friend. You don't need people like that in your life when you're trying to cope with the mental/physical stress of skin problems. What a nasty, mean-spirited person. Glad you don't associate with her anymore. It's important to try and surround yourself with people who can sympathize with you and be supportive of you, because those are real friends...the ones that accept you for you.

Its especially hard when they try to give you advice on acne, as if they can relate. Perhaps they can... but it simply feels unfair. Try telling her how hurtful her comments are, she could just be ignorant of the situation.
