When people comment on your skin, saying it has improved, does that make you feel more confident ... or self-conscious that they have noticed and brought up the issue.

I dont feel great when some people say that, cause people who say such things are obviously scoping my skin and my "outside" look all the time, and it makes me to hate myself cause I hang out with that kind of people, I dont say "all of them are like that", if someone who cares about you (like your girlfriend or boyfriend, parents, very good friends.. etc) says something like that... thats another story of course.

It is a compliment, they are trying to be encouraging -- take it as such and don't let your shit esteem get in the way of it.

It makes me feel better, of course! I want to hear that it is getting better.

Whether it's good or bad, i would rather not talk about my skin with anyone.

I was asking because for me, it depends on the situation. If it's you and them alone, and they bring up the topic and tell you that it's looking a lot better, then that makes me feel really good about myself. But if someone brings it up in a group, then I feel as though the attention has just been switched to me and my skin, and I try to change the topic of conversation ASAP :P:D

It makes me feel worse, because it reminds me of all the scars on my face.

The worse is when someone recommends acne scar treatment not realizing that I consider it everyday, but there's no good dermatologists around where I live.

I made the mistake of commenting on acne products with a co worker and now all I can see is her staring at my skin when she talks to me.
