Pros:

No side effects. Totally safe treatment.

Cons:

No effect at all in acne. It's known to work well on some people, but that was not my case

Even though it was of no use for me, due to the success cases in some people and the lack of negative side effects, I think that it is worth to give a try; so I would recommend it.

Pros:

Bought for two sons with moderate acne. Both continued with Duac and Differin while using lamp. The lamp markedly improved their skin, but has not totally cleared it. Greatly reduced cystic acne.

Cons:

As with any treatment, have to use everyday. Wish my kids were more consistent.

Well worth a try. Verilux offers a money back guarantee if it doesn't work for you.

Pros:

Nothing.....Waste of Money!!!

Cons:

It caused me to break out like crazy!!! I ever never had acne this bad before....it's like i'm 15 again but 2x worse.

This product may work for some people, but it did not work for me. When I bought this item, I thought that it would be an alternative to the blue light treatments I was getting at the dermatologists office, but it is nothing like it at all. With the blue light treatments from the derms office, I cleared up completely with no initial breakout. With this crappy $189.00 light, I have been broke out for 3 weeks and nothing is helping to clear it up!! Bottom line......Save your money and go today the dermatologist for a reputable treatment!!!!

Pros:

money back guaratee

Cons:

didn't work for me

I was excited to try it after reading all the positive reviews. I used it faithfully for 7 weeks, most times longer than 15 min. It just didn't make a difference at all. If it works for you it is definitely affordable. I'm 42 and have tried everything short of acutane so this was worth a shot.

Pros:

none at all

Cons:

1. extremely dry skin
2. it made me break out in tons of whiteheads that are very red and itchy

I was very excited to use this product after reading some of the fablous reviews.I have had mild acne since about grade six.But in grade seven after being under alot stress i broke out severely on my forehead.I had to use stevemicien gel to get rid of it.After that i had nice perfect skin most of the time with the ocasional flare up. But this year i was again under a huge amount of stress and i broke out all over!I wanted to use products like clinique and proactive but i am allergic to certain chemicals in those products. So i bought the Verilux acne light because it was a chemical free treatment.I used it faithfully for 8 weeks and never missed a session. After a few days of using it i started to break out in small white heads all over.I kept using the light hoping that they would go away but they just continued to get worse and worse. Finally after eight weeks i quit using it.Now i am stuck with a itchy read rash and hundreds of whiteheads. The bottom line is i wish i had never used it.

Pros:

clearer skin, less acne.

Cons:

kind of straining on my back to sit there and lean forwards towards the light. i got impatient a lot too. sometimes i forgot, and if i missed 2 days in a week i'd break out. and at first i got headaches from the bright light.

i've been using this along with minocycline and my skin has gotten MUCH better. it is not perfect but no more cystic acne!

Pros:

None

Cons:

It simply had no effect. I'm not sure what else I could have done to make it work (I followed the directions and used it everyday).

Don't waste your money. I have no idea how this thing got ranked so high. Snake Oil anyone?

Pros:

Not that difficult to use; easier than all of the creams, pills, lotions, potions, etc. Reputable company; refunded 100% of the purchase price including S & H.

Cons:

Did not work at all. Made my skin kind of itchy and flushed in appearance. I gave up on it after about 8 weeks. Bulbs are very bright and give off quite a bit of heat.

Although I was disappointed, especially after reading all of the positive reviews, it might not hurt to give it a try if all else has failed. The customer service at Verilux was very nice and as stated earlier, I did receive a 100% no-hassle refund.

Pros:

Doesn't hurt. Can get your money back if it doesn't work.

Cons:

Did not do anything for my face at all. and could potentially be causing an INCREASE in acne.

I reviewed this product a few weeks ago-- now it has been 8 weeks, and I definitely used this product faithfully. My skin has been significantly worse, and I don't know if it just progressively was getting worse due to the light or if my skin was just on a downward spiral. I have been going to my dermatologist for years, and I was put on accutane when I was 16, and now I have to go back on it (i'm 22 now). (I'm only stating this to show how suddenly my dermatologist noticed my recent reoccurrence in bad skin). But I have read a lot about this product, and it does seem to work for a lot of people, so its worth trying it only because you can get your money back. But for me, my skin has hit a sudden all time low, so my skin was NOT meant for this product! I would say use this if nothing else is working for you-- but DON'T try it if you are just casually looking for a new remedy-- it could potentially screw up your skin

Pros:

Works wonders! This product truly prevents acne from forming and dries up existing acne. I now have soft smooth skin!

Cons:

Experienced a little breaking out the first few days, but after day 3 my skin had no new acne and was clearing up very nicely. Its too big to travel with and it can get boring sitting in front of a light for 15 minutes.

This product is amazing. About 6 months ago I got off the pill and I was breaking out like never before. I tried every over the counter product and home remedy I could find. Raw honey really calmed my acne, but this product cleared it and got rid of the acne. I love this light!
