DevotedThings : Facial Glow Scrub & Mask

I did not have great expectations about this product. As soon as I read "scrub" in the title I thought that I will most likely not like it. I have avoided physical exfoliants like scrubs for years because they always end up scratching my face and then my acne would get more inflamed than ever. The story of how I ended up trying this product in spite of my scepticism is for another post. But here, for this review I'd like to share my experience of using this amazing product. I call it my second miracle acne scar removing product. My first one is the Indented Scars Peel by Devotedthings and you can find my review of it on this website. Back to the Facial glow scrub and mask. As you can tell from the photo, it comes in a tiny container. Inside the container there is fine powder. This is a versatile product which can be used as a cleanser, scrub or a mask. It can be used on its own and it will make a remarkable difference to the texture of your skin. But I will share with you how I use it and what it has done for me. I use it mostly as a scrub/mask. I mix a tiny amount of the powder with a few drops of water and I get a runny paste. I then massage this paste onto my clean, dry face for about a minute or so. Then I leave the mixture on my face for another 5 min. That is all. I do this almost every day, mostly once a day but sometimes twice a day. My skin can handle it. For someone with sensitive dry skin only 2 or 3 times per week may be enough. But my skin is very oily, with tons of scars and very large pores so I use this product often. It smells divine, spa like. After use, the skin feels super duper smooth and soft, but not dry and irritated. After I wash it off, I apply a skin softener, or a toner and then the Indented scar peel and after that I apply my moisturizer and then sunblock. The Indented Scar peel works gradually over a few days and gets deeper into the skin with each use. But then by using the Facial glow scrub and mask, I "remove" the upper layer of skin and that is how scars are removed. I know that using words like "remove" may sound harsh, but both products are very gentle. There is absolutely no downtime, and I have experienced no irritation. The results I have seen this far are significant. By this I mean, I can actually see the difference the product has made to the texture of my skin and the acne scars. I have been using this product for a month now, and I still have 1/3 of the product left, so a little goes a looooong way. Now, after a month of use, people around me ask me why I look so youthful and well rested. To tell the truth, I don't really look that youthful or rested but people can see a difference in my skin's appearance and they don't know why that is. They tell me that something is different and give me a puzzled look as if I have to "explain" myself. Well, I still have scars, I still have large pores and I still have discoloration, but all of these imperfections are significantly less and smaller than before. There is softness in my features now. My skin texture is greatly improved, the acne scars are fading daily. The indented scars are disappearing. No other product has delivered these results before. And as most acne sufferers I have tried all sorts....Now I love the feeling of hope that one day, I will be completely scar free. Now I believe that it is possible.
