Pros:

really helps with the oily skin

Cons:

none

I have been taking B5 for 2 weeks now, and I have seen a difference in my skin already. I only have mild acne, so I take 3 grams a day (6/500 mg pills). At first I started with only 2 grams for the first week, but then I noticed the oily skin was still the same, so Idecided to increase to 3 grams. It really works.

Pros:

Reduces oil, gets rid of acne

Cons:

none

I began taking Skin B5 time release tablets two months ago. My skin is clearer then it has ever been, less oily, and I no longer need to use topical treatments. I just take three pills a day: morning and night, and once at dinner. I am very happy that I don't have to worry about my complexion anymore.

Pros:

It's inexpensive, but if you buy it online like what i do, the shipping and handling fees can become a pain.

Cons:

Made me go to the bathroom a lot! Didn't really notice any results.

I do not recommend this. I was currently taking Vilantae for 4 months and i have not seen results. I followed directions exactly too. The only thing i noticed was that i had to go to the bathroom like 5 times a day lol. I stopped taking it about a week ago and my face is doing much better! Now i'm just using proactiv solution and eating more fruits and vegetables. So...if you are an acne sufferer, i am sorry. But please don't risk your health taking pills found on the internet. Just use good topical products and eat a healthy, balanced diet. Good luck!

Pros:

Skin is less oily and its slowly clearing up.

Cons:

lots of pills to take

I started on 4/5/08, and vitaminshoppe is the cheapest place, especially when they have their buy one get the second one half off. I am trying really hard to take twenty pills a day-5 pills 4x a day, thats the only hard part. I've tried to take five before eating to see if it would effect my stomach differently but it hasn't. You may experience some extra bowel movement when your body is adjusting to the pills. Other than that it is GREAT! I've had acne for over 15 years, and while it wasnt severe it was bad enough were people would make fun of me behind my back. When you first start the regime, you breaks you out, but remember it has to get worse before it gets better. I am also taking B complex , vitamin E, Zinc, Flax Seed, Vitamin C and Iron. Take the the vitamin c and iron together and 1/2 hour separately. I also went to the Natural Food store and got an internal scrub. Also before I started the I got a colonic ( went two times). So there you

Pros:

Reduces oily skin

Cons:

Amount of pills, Constant bowels.

I've only been taking Vilantae B5 for about a week. I started out taking the maximum dosage. I take 5 pills 4 times a day for a total of 20 pills a day. I have very oily skin and already I have began to notice a reduction in the oil in my skin. My acne has also began to subside. I'll post in 3 more weeks to keep you guys posted on my success.

Pros:

Balances skin oil, acne clears

Cons:

A lot of pills to swallow at first

I have been on B5 for 2.5 years. I spoke to my doctor about it recently and he says B5 is SAFE! My GI doctor says that herbs can cause gastrointestinal problems... so make sure you know all of the ingredients in the pills you are taking! In the last two years I have stopped B5 use twice... both times my skin was oily and broken out horribly... so I keep going back...last time I was down to 3 500 mg. a day and maintaining clear skin.

Don't know yet

Just discovered these reviews so at the weekend I went and bought 100 500mg timed release B5 tablets, 50 Vitamin B complex and 100 multi vits. Having read all the reviews on here I though I would try out my own regime. I have suffered from acne since about 15 and I'm 31 now. I don't get that many spots but they're still unsightly and I don't like having a spotty back and chest, especially when getting naked with a girl for the first time... I'm a bit worried about the side effects - hair loss etc and also if you take a massive dose all the time that acne will be a lot worse when you stop. What I'm doing is having 2X 500mg in the morning with a B complx, and 2X 500mg in the evening with the multi vit. What I am hoping is I can gradually find my doseage without shocking my system too much. I'm going to do a week at this level and then see if anything has happened. Fingers crossed. :)
