    Homemade Sulfur Ointment

I've posted about how I like the De La Cruz 10% sulfur ointment for treating acne. However, I've never been comfortable about the 90% Polyethylene Glycol absorbing into my skin. So I picked up some powdered sulfur and figured I could easily make my own ointment with healthy ingredients. I'm no chemist, but I found that it dissolves beautifully in vegetable glycerin and since I love the effects of topical yogurt on my (and my son's) skin I also add that to the recipe. Here's my recipe for
  2. I stumbled across this NIH article which examines the connection between intestinal health, depression and acne. It also discusses the use of probiotics topically as well as internally. http://www.ncbi.nlm....les/PMC3038963/

Age 25 And Going Through Cystic Acne

I haven't really had the need to return back to Acne.org for a few years when I got over acne. When I was 18, I broke out all over my face and struggled with finding the right skincare products and taking regular trips to the dermatologist. Since then, I've only had mild breakouts and have kept them under control. All of a sudden, I'm experiencing a whole other new kind of breakout: adult cystic acne. For the last 2-3 months, I've been breaking out in cysts. They are large, painful, under-th
  4. Oh my freaking goodness. Could this really be the end of an era? Let me explain: I've been on the search for something, anything, to help me clear my acne for the last 6 or 7 years. It has been a such a terrible, self-esteem crushing, defining struggle-- and I think maybe I've found my answer. In 2012, I was suffering from deep, painful cystic acne and painful, inflamed skin. I'd been using Neutrogena Oil-Free acne scrub (had been for a long time) and was washing basically morning and nig
  5. Hey! So, i eliminated dairy-product from my diet about 7-8 months ago in order to clear my acne. And it worked! I'm a %100 clear now. So, the problem is, im a teenager and still developing. And i need calcium. My parents are like, "if you continue like this your going to have serious problems in the future!" To be honest, that reeaaallly scared me. I eat all calcium rich foods like dill, parsley, almonds but i still feel like its never enough because recently i noticed that my nails weakend etc. I

    Greek Yogurt

Do dairy products like Greek Yogurt really make you break out more? I've had medium to severe acne even before eating yogurt and I don't think consuming it had any affect on me. I'm taking an antibiotic (doxycycline) right now I thought continuing to eat yogurt everyday would help me gain some probiotics. Are there also any other natural sources of probiotics?
  7. I just don't understand how if the hormones in milk supposedly cause acne, then why do fermented products not cause the same effects? I am just confused about the whole hormone and body connection in general. I mean how do our bodies know what hormones to deactivate and what ones to put into action? I mean body builders that take steroids for instance, their bodies are using those hormones readily. Thus, I don't think out bodies have something such as "hormone screening" in which it's like, oh, w
  8. Having acne facials done at a spa can be very expensive. Additionally, sometimes spa facials are too harsh on acne-prone skin. With a few ordinary ingredients, you can make an at-home acne facial. This honey, yogurt, and lemon facial is gentle and effective. Try it out and see how smooth and radiant your skin feels afterwards. Ingredients For this facial, you will need 1/2 cup of plain yogurt. Greek-style is best, because it is thicker than regular yogurt and won't drip off your face as

    Bio Yogurt And Acne?

Hey guys! I'm completely aware of how detrimental dairy products are for the skin and almost always try to steer clear of them. Earlier today, I discovered that Bio-Yogurt (natural) had been put in my dinner and I did a little bit of research on it, and several sources seems to say that bio-yogurt is the only dairy product that is beneficial for the skin due to it being probiotic. I'm really confused about whether it's going to make my acne worse or better right now. Do any of you guy
  10. ●●●●●Sex Stimulants Cause Pimples & Ugly Scars●●●●● There are millions of people in the world who are chronic sufferers of pimples, which disfigure their faces and make them look ugly. Thousands of young people become so desperate and depressed due to the ugliness caused by acne that they even think of committing suicide. Abstinence from sex and the retention of semen for long periods in their bodies by young men can cause or increase the pimples and boils in
