  1. Hi everyone, I’m looking at getting advice on how to finally clear my acne that I’ve had from age 16 to now 19. Here’s my backstory. (Male from the UK). I had cystic moderate acne on my face for about a month aged 16 before I finally went to the doctors. I was prescribed lymecycline capsules (antibiotic) and benzoyl peroxide cream. It worked and did clear the cystic acne to some extent. About a year in I swapped benzoyl peroxide for adapalene because the BP was too drying on my skin. At 18 I
  2. Hi guys, I'm really hoping you can help me identify what's causing my acne and how I get rid of it. I've struggled with this for years now and I've tried pretty much everything to get rid of it! I thought it was normal acne then I thought it was ingrown hairs so I took all my chest hair off but it made no difference. I'm now currently reading about folliculitis but I'm not sure if its that either. Please give me some of your expert advice Pictures are attached
  3. I took Accutane 4 years ago. After two years, my acne returned in full force. I was getting cystic acne just like before. I fell back into the cycle of taking antibiotics (minocycline, doxycycline, etc) but I knew that wasn't a permanent solution. I was even considering a second round of Accutane. After seeing how clear my skin could be with the first round of Accutane, I just wanted to have clear skin again! It had been such a blessing not having to think about the blemishes on my face. When yo
  4. Here's the background info: Started regimen a long, long time ago. About three years ago. After 5ish months on it I was baby face clear and stayed that way for about half a year. Mind you, during this time I could eat ANYTHING and not be affected. It was a good time. Flash Forward to now, my skin isn't that great. It's typically a week long breakout (1-2 zits a day, for a week) follow by a week of healing/red spots, followed up by two-three days of clear, nice looking skin. Only to break out a
  5. Years ago I got one of those large zits with no head on the tip of my nose. I do remember squeezing it once or twice at the time, which was obviously a big mistake. The redness and pain ended up leaving after a week or so, but the actual bump never did. It has really bothered me for a long time now. There doesn't seem to be any fluid in it. Even if I could just shrink it a little bit, that would be awesome. Are there any ways that are less invasive than surgery to remove something like this? May
  6. Hello! I'm 14 years old. My skin is prone to hyperpigmentation. I have lots of acne on my face, but some on my chest also. Any treatments?
  7. http://technabob.com/blog/2012/02/17/south-korean-girl-removes-makeup/ ^ read that im just so depressed again, going from decent looks to such a lame looking face (red nose, pores, cysts on cheek and just usual bunch of shit ETC) is SO SO SO PAINFUL u cant imagine (i was to party like day ago n had makeup on, IT WAS LIKE BEST DAY IN 10 YRS!!), its like a spit in the face afterwards. i just cant look at this face anymore, i just cant. i want healthy normal skin already so much!! they
  8. Unfortunately I'm back on the forms (again) Thorough the year and a half I've been on the regimen I've noticed a few things - Skin is freakishly awesome in the summer/spring months - Skin is freakishly red/irritated/dry/disgusting in the winter months - For me, even though I've been on the Regimen twice a day for nearly TWO years, my face is still a little red - Random breakouts are a part of life Why I'm I telling you this? Because I'm pissed off. A few weeks back I had a friend come in tow
  9. I seriously can't remember the last time my face was completely clear. The first time I had breakouts was in 4th grade but I didn't think of it as acne until 7th grade when it progressed and not until junior year of high school did it get really bad. I don't remember a day when I didn't worry about my skin and that truly makes me sad. I hope that now at 18 I won't have to consider having adult acne for long. Does anyone else remember when their skin was nice?

    I'm tired

I've been facing this problem for 3 years now, and I'm thinking it was a reality check from the depo (birth control) I stopped taking. My face tends to be on the oily side. I don't care about the bumps, I just want the dark spots to be gone, I've tried everything !!!! My dermatologist gave me a NEW plan after epiduo not working out well, and will be getting on birth control again. Does anyone have any advice?
  11. well im kinda adicted to popping pimples tbh (i do it sanitary as possible) but what if you dont, what happens? where does the white shit goes? does it evaporate or go back into skin? o.o what if this happens? (warning, brace your eyes) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D4pWOfjETeg
  12. Hello. I have moderate - severe acne since I was 14. I am now 22 and have Rosacea too. My life sucks and every morning after I wake up, I think of how peaceful it would be if I died today. I love my parents and that is the only reason I am alive. My face is really Red and a 5 minute walk in the sun gives me redness that stays for 2 days. I have extremely oily skin. I have taken 20mg/day Accutane for 6 months, twice. I used to have cystic acne and accutane helped it. But now my skin is t
  13. Hi everyone, I know a lot of people have been interested in low dose accutane regimens and whether these work. I will give you a brief history of my acne and my three-year low dose regimen because I was able to achieve COMPLETE CLEARANCE! Acne started: age 13, tried every topical and prescription (antibiotics, retinoids, duac, benzoyl peroxide, blah blah blah) with no improvement. I would characterize my skin as oily/combination, poor texture, large pores, clogged pores, with inflammator
