  1. I have been using the treatment for over a month and have just incorporated the AHA but I’ve been expierencjng white flakes across my face. Especially in the chin/moth area and between the eyebrows. How can I fix this
  2. Hi everyone, So recently, I have been battling with white pus-filled pimples all around my face . I am not so sure what is going on. After going through some research, i realized they were called pustules. I used to suffer from eczema and that too for my face. So it was very rare of me to get pimples. Its rare for me to get pimples at all and suddenly i am seeing these white pimples all over my face. I feel super insecure about them because they have an extremly ugly apperance. Ive tried so
  3. Hello folks, I've had severe acne when I was younger (7 years ago) and moderate acne on my chin ever since. Recently, when I began inspecting my skin more, I noticed these white lumps on both sides of my face. Are they acne scars or something else? Other information I got is: I dry shave with an electric shaver I have been using a lot of moisturisers because I have dry skin in the climate where I live. I used Epiduo and Tetralysal to combat the acne I had on my chin, when this dis
  4. Ive had this for about two days, it wont go away! I have two days to make it go away!! Anyhelp would be appreciated. Thanks!
  5. Hi, so for as long as I remember (or at least the last 4 years) I've had this weird looking chin crease. It's always slightly red from pigmentation and I've always had these little white bumps. I eat healthy, exercise, drink plenty of water, wash, moisturize, all that. And on too of that I exfoliate every 3 days and these damn things won't seem to go! First of is - what are they? Milia? If it is then why won't they go from exfoliation? Could it be anything else? And if so, how do I I about treat
  6. Hi. I am 14 years old and I have moderate acne on my face, back and chest. I'm using Duac, a special shower gel and oral tablets and since seeing a dermatologist, my skin is getting better. However, I have a white raised spot on my cheek and I have no clue what it is. I'm 95% sure its not 'milia' and doubt it is a white head as there is no redness around it and it's a little too big to be one. I have had one of these spots on the other side of my face before and I although it
  7. Hey guys, I'm a 17 year old boy and I am fed up with acne. I started getting it around 15, and it has only gotten worse. I have tried EVERYTHING except accutane. I have tried: proactive clean and clear benzaclin astringent neutrogena prescription creams cetaphil aloe vera benzoyl peroxide salicylic acid Witch hazel blemish pads obey your body facial kits burts bees facial washes biore blemish pads clearasil and I samples skin ID. NONE of these worked in the long run, and i
  8. Okay so I have these little white bumps on my temple... I've noticed they've been there only since around about Christmas, so, 3 or so months... They don't hurt, they don't itch, they just stay exactly like that and I've never had them before!? I don't have them anywhere else on my face or body, but, there is actually one or two that I noticed this week, coming up in exactly the same place on the other side. My skincare regime is simply to wash once per night with Olay Regenerist Cleanser, an
  9. I recently posted about my boxcar/rolling scar scaring on the left side of my face, but I also have a question about the scars forming by my smile lines and they're spreading within the last 4 months and they are more pronounced when I smile. They are white scars and when I pull my skin up I can see the scar dents. They're more pronounced in the camera than in real life [idk why] and I can vanish them 80% when I wear makeup, but that's only a temp fix. I really don't have a bunch of money righ
  10. Hello everyone, I have been suffering from acne since I was 9 years old. It was mild up until I was 15 years old and then it turned severe. Looking back at it now (19 years old now - OLD OLD OLD), it was probably due to the cheese I was consuming everyday + all the added stress from finishing my final exams in secondary school (Singapore's education system is no joke ). As of now, I have reduced my cheese intake as well as dairy products intake. Now that I have given you my background, lets
  11. Hi.. Just a warning the pictures of my skin might be a little gross to you. But I've had these white bumps all over my face, mostly on my chin and cheeks but also on my forehead as well, for maybe 2 years. I recently went to get a facial and the lady told me it was Milia under the skin. She gave me a routine set of face wash, benzoyl peroxide, corrective pads and moisturizer. Also she told me to not use the heavy makeup I was using, and gave me this mineral powder instead. I've been following
  12. White Skin and Acne

White Skin Acne very common in Caucasian skin Higher incidence of nodules and cysts Less chance of hyperpigmentation Tendency toward dryer skin Overview Acne is a common skin disorder in Caucasian adolescents and adults. According to Cutis, a clinical journal for dermatologists, "During visits by white patients, the...most common [diagnosis] recorded [was] acne."1 According to a recent study, white adolescents experience slightly more acne than black or Asian adolescents.2 Expand to read details of study A study published in Pediatric Dermatology in 2012 looked...
  13. So I've had face, chest and back acne in the past which have cleared up really nicely, I occasionally still get a bump here or there, but I've been researching things and I'm not exactly sure if it's acne or pimples at all anymore, but rather a form of folliculitis. Originally my acne was relatively mild, I got tetracycline prescribed for me back when the acne was still mild/moderate and it cleared it up originally, but after I had eaten it for a while, around a month and my acne was basically c
  14. I have read A lot of Topics on here related to scalp acne on here and I plan on picking up a few things then i started to look at the dates on these posts and began to wonder if there is anything better now. I have a few things that i worry about and am going to add here. (it may not matter I'm not sure just thought it would be cool to ask) 1. I believe this contributes hugely to my scalp acne problem I am a mixed girl (black/white) i have very thick curly hair it gets very dry. and the things
  15. Hello, Why the bread, especially white bread cause acne ? Is it because the gluten flour or the high glycemic index (70) that cause an insulin spike ? Is there a way to combat the bread breakout acne ? Thank you.
  16. I've got mark of whiter skin after Radiofrequency Microneedling. Anyone experience something like this? Any advices to get rid of it? I guess it was caused by to high energy?
  17. I've tried to use eyedrops, rinse with water, nothing helped. It makes it hard to blink and it feels like my eye has some sort of pressure feeling. Today marks day 2 of this.
  18. What are the white plug looking things in my pores? Are they sebaceous filaments? They are more visible after shower or washing, and there's more of them in this area. They become less apparent as the day goes on. This area is also iterated easily and tends to feel dehydrated after morning shower if not moisturized. I can keep them in check if I wash my face at night with a wash cloth but if I don't use one they seem to multiply. Thanks
  19. Hi Everyone! I have pretty mild acne, a few spots here and there, a sprinkling of scarring from when it used to be really bad, basically my skin is just about to be perfect but not. This pimple plague had to happen. Anyway, I wanted to ask if anyone could tell me exactly what a whitehead is? I think it's white blood cells, right? Are whiteheads a good sign that your body is fighting off the pimple? So many questions! Pretty much all the pimples I have turn into whiteheads at some point or
  20. Hi guys, So i've been reading through a tonne of posts, and thought i'd write up a post to see if anyone had any ideas. After many many tries by my doctors to solve my back acne, finally they put me on accutane and i've been on it for about 8 months. It's been completely clear for about 4 months, and i'm only on about 10mg/20mg. Anyway it's left some scarring on my back, that covers the whole back. Now the main two issues i'm finding are a tonne of little white 'follicular macular atrop
  21. Can an Egg White Mask Help Your Acne?

An egg white's primary function is to protect the egg yolk and to provide additional nutrition for the growth of the embryo. Egg white is 88% water and 11% protein. The remaining 1% is made up of carbohydrates and fatty acids.1 Egg white masks are an increasingly popular at-home treatment for acne. However, scientists have, to date, performed no clinical studies examining the effect of topical egg whites on acne. However, there are several medicinal properties...
  22. Yesterday I noticed a bump between my eyebrows and immediately knew it was another one of those evil cystic pimples. I put some bp on it when I went to bed, and this morning I washed it off and noticed that the pimple had a kind of white head. Then, without even thinking about it, my hands shot up to my forehead and began squeezing it. Before I knew it, the pimple had been drained, but was red and puffy. I put some more bp on it and ate breakfast. Then I had to cover it up with makeup because it
  23. Hi, The glycemic index of white flour bread is 75 which is considered high. But the glycemic load of white flour bread is 11 which is considered low. So is white flour bread good or bad for your acne? Hope someone can help my out! Thanks!
  24. I've had these small bumps on my forehead and my temples for about 3 years now! I'm currently a sophomore in high school and they're really starting to get on my nerves. Im currently on my 6th day of accutane (yay!) and I've been doing probably a bit too much research and freaking myself out! Will accutane get rid of these... whatever they are?! Also I've never asked my dermatologist about them, and I'm not even sure she's noticed them to be honest.
  25. I had a couple of dark spots from old pimples so i used over-the-counter anti dark spots gel on my face which basically whiten the dark spot. Apparently, i overused the gel and now i have some spots which are whiter than the rest of my skin. What are my options? Thanks in advance. It kinda looks like this (not me) : http://missinglink.ucsf.edu/lm/DermatologyGlossary/img/Dermatology%20Glossary/Glossary%20Clinical%20Images/hypopigmentation.jpg
