  1. From the album: Week One / Day 4

WEEK ONE / DAY 4 (I was using Proactiv until it ran out and then I switched to the Regimen because Proactiv was too harsh on my skin.)**I am NOT wearing skin makeup besides mascara** I noticed that the redness had subsided, however, my skin was still "darkening" and "hardening". Acne was "smoothing" out, but new breakouts were still occurring. Dryness and flakiness still occurred. Acne marks were healing and being dried out. Still a lot of hyper pigmentation.

WEEK ONE / DAY THREE (I was using Proactiv until it ran out and then I switched to the Regimen because Proactiv was too harsh on my skin.) My skin become even more dry. I was not using a moisturizer, as the Proactiv kit does not provide one. This made my skin extremely irritated and flakey. I noticed that my skin was "hardening", which can happen when you use Benzol-Peroxide, and it was becoming even darker in color. I noticed areas that were inflamed were no longer, however,

WEEK ONE (I was using Proactiv until it ran out and then I switched to the Regimen because Proactiv was too harsh on my skin.) I decided to try Proactiv in February, as it had worked for me in my younger years. After starting Proactiv, my skin was very blotchy and irritated. I noticed that my skin began to flake, and where I had put the Benzol-Peroxide, my skin was "hardening" and becoming darker. This was very aggravating as I have fair skin, and my neck had an obvious line of darker skin, to

  8. Day One Today is my first day on Accutane, more specifically the name brand Absorica. To be honest I am starting this new treatment quite suddenly. Just this morning I had my first appointment (ever) with a Dermatologist. I have had Acne since about eighth grade, and now that I am officially through my first semester of college, I definitely am getting tired of dealing with it. Throughout the years I have tried many different regiments and programs, some worked better than others, but never
  9. My goodness a week already! No changes to report really; the last few days my skin has been SO itchy. I keep putting on moisturiser but when I'm at work with a full face of makeup I just have to put up with it. The dry lips have begun, not too bad.. yet. I've got lip balm everywhere and just put it on all day. Err not much else to say, awaiting the dreaded IB. So I suppose I'll post again when that happens. I had a job interview last week so I'm stressed from choosing whether to le

  11. Hiya! So I've decided to take up writing a blog for the duration of my roaccutane treatment, I've never written one before so we'll just see how this goes... I was extra nervous about starting the treatment because I go to an outdoor education school up in arctic Norway, so the thought of the super dry, cold air PLUS accutane for my skin, as well as living in 24 hours of darkness for 2 months coupled with the depressive side effects of the drug... That made me nervous. Not to mention I've

  13. Hey, I am a 20 year old female on accutane. I've been stuggling with acne for 6 years, and I tried everything over the counter and a few precribed topicals and antibiotics. I resently began getting cystic acne so I went to the derm. and she precribed me accutane . I just finish week one. My side-effects include, extremely dry skin, eyes burn, and slight muscle ache. I have already noticed a difference in my skin, for my pores shrunk. I'd appreciate if anyone has any advice about what is to come

  17. I've been performing the regimen for the past four days I thought I'd start a blog here to record my progress So far my pimples are still there but that's to be expected just after four days. I have a little patch of dry/sore skin on my cheek but I can tolerate that right now
  18. From the album: My Claravis Journey.

Alright. So I've been on Claravis (accutane) for a week now, and for the past week my acne has been getting worse (which is what's supposed to happen when on Accutane). It's not getting worse anymore, but it's starting to get dry and really red (as seen in the right picture of my cheeks, nose, and chin and in the left picture of my forehead, which has never been that bad in my life before). My acne has gotten smoother than it was before, which is kind of a plus, but the down side is that this i

    Update!

So i have been using differin for 5 days now and my face is definitely worse! The first time I used differin my face didn't start breaking out until the third week of using it. I also have exams right now, so that's probably not helping either. I've been getting really big pustules all over my face, mainly on the sides, jaw and chin area. My face is also a little dry which I knew would start happening. My old acne marks also seem to be a lot more pronounced and red. I'm still only using a washcl
  20. WEEK ONE. Finally i figured out how to make a blog! Hi everyone, I am a 17 yr old male, i weigh 70kg and im roughly 6 foot, on a 20mg/day isotretinoin regime for 9 months, and i've decided to make a blog to keep you guys posted on how my low dosage goes, the ups, and the downs. First off i'll start by saying, it took me roughly 6 months, AFTER i received my roaccutane pills, of researching endlessly and going back and forth with it, before actually trying it. I had bad acne for a while

    Day 7

Still a few more pimples while old ones start to calm down, but this is pretty much normal to me so I can't really call this my "initial breakout". Im hoping I don't have one, especially since I'm meeting a lot of people in the next few weeks. talk about bad timing. It actually looks like a few of these tiny little invisible white heads that are always hidden on my chin and around my mouth might rise to the surface in the next few days... maybe it'll be a subtle overnight thing? idk. I like
