  1. I’m a bit late updating as not much has really happened. Just over a week ago my doctor upped me to 40mg, he warned me that because I had such a good first month my skin would likely get worse for a while when increasing my dosage. My skin has actually stayed the same, I haven’t had any breakouts, the only think I’ve noticed is that other parts of my body are starting to get really dry now too like my arms and knees. One thing that did surprise me is the price of the Isotretinoin. 20mg onl
  2. It's the very beginning of week five and holy crap, my skin is so clear! There are still a few tiny scabs and red dots where some blemishes are still healing but I don't have any active pimples. My skin tone is very even as well, and I've noticed that I have almost zero clogged pores! That's such a miracle to me because in the past even when my skin was perfectly clear, I always had clogged pores in my problem areas. This is such a relief to me because now when my skin clears up it won't breakou
  3. Day 29 When I woke up my skin looked better than the night before (I had a major whitehead breakout on my chin on day 28) I still had a few whiteheads on my chin but resisted popping My skin was super dry and flaky this day. Not sure why. I applied a little extra moisturizer today. Day 30 Ill take a photo of my skin tomorrow morning and eventually post to show my before and after (1 month progress) My skin is showing steady improvement everywhere except my chin. id

    End Of Week 5

Hello All, So, I feel confident enough to post a pic...before my roaccutane treatment began (check out that STONKER on my foehead!) and after 5 weeks. Happy to say that the results are great ! Still on the same skincare regime and not experiencing any flakiness on my face or dryness - so Body Shop's Vitamin E range is perfect for me. Seeing my derm this week for my first follow up appt, quite excited to hear her advice on my prescription, if she'll bump me up to 60mg a day. Still no

I made a side by side comparison. The top pictures are of week 5 and week 27. The bottom pictures are of week 6 and week 27.
  6. I am currently on week 5 of my Accutane journey. Nothing crazy has happened, probably because I'm on a low dose of 30 mg a day. I have my next appointment this week and my mg will probably go up and I may experience more side effects. The only side effect I have had is dry lips (but still tolerable at this point), my skin has cleared slightly as in no new cysts have formed but I still have the ones that were there pre accutane. Excited to keep on this journey and crossing my fingers this minimal

    Week 5.1

I'm still the same maybe a little worse. But I was told that week 4 is the worst week. I'm hoping things will start looking better this week.i am sitting in a computer lab at school right now in the corner hiding my face. I do t want to be out in public or seen by anyone when my face is like this. I still have faith in this product. It's clearly doing something if it's bringing all of this crap up from my face. I been breaking out consistently almost since I started. But this and one in week 3 a

    Week 5

This week has been interesting. It seems like the purging on my chin has definitely diminished and now I'm just left with a few pimples still healing and some marks that are quickly fading. I've also noticed that all of the closed comedones and clogged pores around my mouth and chin are gone now which makes me super happy to see some definite improvement! However this week my forehead has broken out like crazy in tiny inflamed bumps mostly in the center, in between my eyebrows and right on my ha
  9. Week 5 - 20mg split dose Well the good news is NO new cysts!! I was able to enjoy the busy weekend with minimal embarrassment. My old cyst bumps continue to go down. The not so good news is my skin is so itchy and i'm getting almost hive like spots pop up more and more along my jaw line and neck and places I wouldn't have issues. I noticed that scratching them only makes them worse and they take quite a bit of time to heal so I am trying my hardest to keep my hands off. Speaking of keeping my
  10. This week I started on 70mg of isotretinoin/roaccutane/accutane – whatever you want to call it! Quite a leap from 30mg but if you want to find out more about the reasons behind that then you can read my one month recap post. Day 29 Thursday 17th August Dermatologist appointment day! I stayed at my parents again this week as they were on holiday and needed a cat sitter, which worked out perfectly for me as the hospital is only a 25 minute walk away from their house. However.
