  1. After I exercise, is it ok to wash my face with only water then moisturise it afterwards? Mydaily routine is to moisturise and wash my face with a cleanser twice a day. I think personally it's too much to moisturise and wash ny face thrice otherwise.
  2. The last couple of days I have come to the conclusion that I will be Forever Alone forever. I'm too late in the dating game and will never marry and barely have a social life all thanks to acne and some other personal issues I had when I was younger. Now I'm just trying to figure out how to accept this and be content while seeing happy clear skinned people everywhere. Some of us are just cursed.
  3. I can't wash my face twice daily with a cleanser anymore because my skin would get really dry at first and then really oily in the middle of the day, is it ok to just wash my face only once a day with cleanser and the second time with just water to lessen the dryness? Or would my face be improving less this way? And also, ever since I started the regimen, my skin has been way more oily and shiny in the middle of the day, does anyone know what's causing this? I'm also moisturizing everyday.
  4. Hi! I came across an article http://www.shape.com/lifestyle/beauty-style/7-bad-beauty-habits-you-need-break?page=2 Washing Your Face In The Morning Using harsh cleansers and scrubs in the a.m. can do more harm than good, stripping your skin of essential oils before you even start your day, Dr. Lamba says. “A good skincare regimen means cleansing your face only at night because while you sleep, your skin regenerates, reestablishes its pH, and increases collagen production,” she adds. S
  5. My questions is:how often should I use my clairisonic? Once a day (morning or night) or twice a day? Also how many time a week? Thanks for your help.

    Minimal washing

I thought I would share with you all my attempt at going a month with minimal washing. By that I mean, once a day, and in the luke warm shower I have every night.Just a quick insight to myself.im 33, I had a bit of acne as a teenager. Nothing too bad though, and that died out through my late teens. My 20's I'd get the odd spot here or there, apart from that my face was generally clear. Fast forward to about a year ago, and my skin problems started. Firstly I noticed the redness around my nose an
  7. Hi everyone, I’m new to the regime and can’t seem to find an answer on this: Is it ok to rinse your face throughout the day with water only AFTER you have gone through the regimen in the morning? Basically, when I work out - I would ideally like to be able to lightly rinse my face with water. But I’m concerned that this will wash away the treatment and moisturizer. Do I have to reapply both the treatment and moisturizer? Do I have to go through the whole routine again? Is there a minimu
  8. Hi all, Sometimes when my acne flares up and I wash my face, the whitehead or root of the acne rises to the surface and sometimes grows. In some cases, after washing my face, the whitehead or root will fall out of the spot leaving a hole in my face. I wondered whether anyone had any tips on what I should do about this, whether it be applying a topical cream or just leaving it to heal. It’s like when you squeeze a spot but I don’t squeeze them, the root of the spots come out naturally and I’m w
  9. Hi, BACKGROUND INFORMATION (tl;dr, skip to the problem section) I'll start with a little background information on myself. I'm a 20 year old male. I've never had any problems with my skin for my whole life. That is until last year, my second year of university. I started getting more pimples than the average few I would normally get in a month. Sometimes they would be blind and inflamed, usually on my cheeks. However, it never was (and still isn't) very bad. I would classify my acne as
  10. Hi guys I have moderate acne at the moment, and am just wondering what is the best way to wash ones face, i've heard about a million different things lol. Some say: hot, then cold water, just cold, just hot, etc etc. Basically, If i was to just use water to wash my face, twice a day, what would be the best method for my skin? Thanks in advance peeps! =D
  11. I've noticed that when I don't wash my face (because I either forgot or was too lazy to wash it) my skin looks better than it does when I do wash it. The color of my skin is much more even and you can barely see any signs of red marks or even scarring. I assume it's this layer of skin that has been allowed to grow that makes my skin look better. This, however, soemtimes results in getting my acne back again (I use tretinoin and don't really get whiteheads anymore but I do still have visible s
  12. When applying Duac once daily gel I wash my hands with hand wash and then just wash my face with water before applying the gel, what cleansing routine should I be using to improve my acne? Should I be using some sort of soap when washing my face? I also dry my face with a paper towel/kitchen roll sheet instead of a towel as I find it is cleaner than towels, could this be making my acne worse as small bits from the paper towel/kitchen roll sheets could be sticking to my face and clogging po
  13. So I've been washing my face with just water twice a day for about 3 weeks. I usually get mild-moderate acne. It's been fine until recently and had noticed pretty decent improvements, although my acne had not entirely stopped. However recently my skin has become very dry and tight and I am noticing a lot of flakiness, mainly after i've washed my face with water. Is this what people on these kinds of routines call the 'dead skin mask'? Also I'm not washing with hot or cold water, it's kind of luk
  14. Everyone knows the conventional wisdom, which is to not wash your face more than a few times a day. This is said to increase oil production as your body is constantly trying to replace the oil you strip away when you wash your face. For me, I am almost certain the main cause of my acne is the obscene amount of sebum that my face excretes. My face is positively dripping by about six hours after washing it and gets shiny again within one or two. So a few months ago, I tried to limit the amount of
  15. Hello! Tomorrow is my third week of accutane and it's going quite good. I worry a bit if I wash my face too much. I wash my face with a cleanser at morning and night and then putting my moisturizer on. Is this too much? I usually take a shower. Sometimes when I do my workout, I also take a shower. So maybe I should drop the washing before bed at these days? Feel like its too much on my skin. I notice that my skin is a bit red sometimes aswell. And another question - should I wai

  18. Hey Everyone. Since I've been able to fight off my skin problem off and on over the past 4 years I'd like to say what helps me and should basically help everyone else too. And then there are the things that help me but won't help everyone else too. I'll highlight those in red ) Number 1 - EAT RIGHT AND TAKE SUPPLEMENTS -No pop or high sugary drinks (the amount of sugar is unreal) -Stay away from high fructose corn syrup -Processed foods (canned) isn't the devil but definitely doesn't he

    Washing Regime

Hi there, I am new to this so I have no idea where to ask a question. I am nearly 19 years old, and only after I graduated from school, I suffered from acne all over my forehead. I still have some scarring left although I have been doing to a dermatologist. Once a month I do a chemical peel and the LED light therapy. My scars have reduced however I still get a new pimple everyday, but now they are more on my cheeks. I suffer from very dry skin, even though I drink so much water! I never used to

    Day 1

I have had problems with my skin for most of my life. As a baby I had severe eczema and in my early teens I developed pretty severe acne. I'm not even exaggerating when I say i have tried every single acne treatment available on the NHS. I have even been through 3 courses of roaccutane! Recently, whilst my acne has definitely died down, probably due to my hormones calming down a bit, I have noticed that 6 or 7 years of cleaners, topical creams, scrubs and thick moisturisers has left my ski
  21. Today 6/29/2015 I am starting The Caveman regimen. My skin got very bad when I was 15. Very cystic, very oily, but that was after I overused over-the-counter skin products (I'm such an idiot). I had cysts on my face and neck along with normal pimps (pimples) on my face and neck, but never much on the rest of my bod. I got put on Accutane (I don't remember how much. Probably a lot) and shit got way better. But that was 3.5 years ago, so since then the pimps have come back along with the oil and 5
