  1. Just want to know if this particular supplements have helped anyone in thier battled against what ever skin problems they have. Thanks
  2. I have started taking a supplement called P-5-P by now foods, it basically contains Vitamin b6 (Pyridoxal-5-phosphate) 50mg, not the common one, a bit of magnesium and vitamin b2, also taking zinc with it. I have read in research that has helped with pre-menstrual flare ups which is I what I usually get a bit after my mid cycle. It's still mild but I would like to get rid of it any ways. So I was wondering if anyone here has experience with this supplement and got results from it, also l
  3. A week ago, I came across a post on this exact message board written by The Acneresearcher. He explained his self-developed acne care regimen. Healthy way to cure sever acne. I also suffered from sever (cystic) acne. Like it is the case with most cystic acne, I've come to conclusion that my breakouts were hereditary. (My dad had really REALLY bad acne when he was my age) So naturally, none of the commercial acne-care products really worked that well for me. I've tried Proactive for 2 years, A
  4. Hey guys. I've been reading posts on this site for a while now but I have never posted myself. I thought it was about time to start talking about my journey and become a part of the community, so that I could grab advice specific to my situation, from you guys, and maybe I might be able to give a little back. I have read countless posts on here, some of which have helped me, so I thank you all for that! It's a pain though, realising not everything works for everyone! So really I'm sta
  5. http://www.yu-be.com/ I've been using this cream called Yu-Be which is supposedly "#1 Selling Medicated, Vitamin-Enriched Skin Care Cream in Japan - Since 1957". It's not petroleum based, and it really does moisturize quite well. After I put some on my hand, it absorbed into my skin pretty fast and left it feeling like baby powder. It's great, expensive though, but I think I just stumbled upon the best moisturizer ever. It's too bad they don't make it with SPF, because I really need the sun pr
  6. I am 16 years old and I used to have unbelievable acne. It was so bad I didnt know what to do with myself. I went on accutane for 2 1/2 months, stopped, and took Vitamin B2 supplements which basically make your skin look nice. I took Chocola BB. This is how you beat acne. If you dont believe me, oh well. Good luck getting rid of it. Im almost completely clear now.
  7. I only get sore inflamed whiteheads on my cheeks usually. ( they do however pop up on other parts of my body/face but get them most on cheeks.) im sure i remember being told that different parts of your face corrispond with other parts of the body. therefore if you have problems in a certain area of your face it means your kidneys are stressed/ stomach stressed etc. a bit like reflexology, that sort of idea. if i remember rightly i was going to have a Dermalogica ( which i now hate) facial and
  8. I always notice that when I first start using a topical it works awesome and then after a week or two, sometimes even longer, it loses its effectiveness. Anyone else notice this? So what I'm doing now is switching my topicals every couple weeks. This includes cleansers, daytime treatment, and night treatment. I started with a great Tea Tree Oil Soap, which worked great, but now doesn't seem to help. I was using Green Cream at night, which still is effective in healing redmarks, but its eff
  9. I'm not sure if anyone here can answer this, but I thought I would give it a try anyways. Whenever I take a vitamin b complex, my urine turns really yellow, almost a neon yellow (sorry if this is too much info!!). I understand that this is a sign that your body is getting rid of the excess vitamin B2 that it doesn't need. However, I am confused about how you know whether your body is releasing just the amount that it doesn't need, or whether it's just not absorbing any of the vitamin and it's al
  10. i made a post "askdshjkshdkfsdhfds" a few days ago. annnnnd.. i got 2 boxes of that yogurt today (danone if anyone's interested). i ate 4 cups already and my skin seriously already looks 23498239432x better than this morning. what the hell is in it that is making it better? this is what it says for nutrition facts: vitamin a - 8% calcium - 10% vitamin d - 15% vitamin b2 - 10% vitamin b12 - 15% phosphorus - 10% magnesium - 6% it's not bad to eat more than one a day is it?? k. this y
  11. Diet tips - Having a wholesome diet high in fresh fruit and vegetables and low in processed or 'fast foods' is advisable to help maintain healthy skin. - A diet high in saturated fat e.g., butter and fried foods and sugary foods may encourage the production of excess oil on the skin causing a condition which may result in Acne. It is best to avoid these foods. - Drinking plenty of fresh water is a good idea to help the body to eliminate toxins properly. Try to drink at least 6 to 8 glasses of fr
  12. Ah lithium... I have acne because of lithium. I had some natural acne, but lithium took it to severe. That was in 2007. Now my acne seems to be moderate, even when I do very little to treat it, so I think I would be clear if it wasn't for this medication. I love what lithium does for my brain, but hate what it does for my skin. There isn't a lot of research on how lithium causes acne, but from the studies I've read, the main way lithium causes acne is by increasing sebum production. One of the
  13. I havent posted here in a while because my skin is dramatically making an improvement, but I can say that Vitamin B2 Supplements work pretty good for those red marks =D search for a japanese product called Chocola BB or somethin like that
  14. For the vegetarian, vegan and plant-based dieters here but also for those who wat animal products less often and rely on soy or believe that soy is the best in the vegetarian world I suggest you to take a look at amaranth. Amaranth has a lot of merits. First of all it is very easy to digest so far that it's suggested to young children with digestive problems and may be used in baby food to improve digestion. The bioavailability of its protein (75%) is higher than that of soy and milk The lysi

  17. http://www.earthclinic.com/Remedies/acvinegar.html http://www.lacetoleather.com/wonderdrug.html Used from the ancient egyptians to the babylonians to the greeks and romans through the middle ages to soldiers fighting in the american civil war, it seems to have only died out recently. As pointed out in the above articles, the general public is mainly to blame, the consumer prefers clear looking, clean looking vinegar and that's what they got and it's referred to by health experts as 'dead vineg

  19. I'm 27 and had really severe acne until I began taking 3 daily doses of vitamin B2 & B6 given by my dermatologist. I had cysts, nodules, etc... I tried Dan's regime but hated bleaching everything... Seeing a dermatologist and taking these pills has really helped my skin. I still have very light acne but it's marginal and to be honest, that I don't receive enough sunlight here in Tokyo might be the cause of it. When I lived in Las Vegas & Singapore, I had 0 acne. Living in cloudy/smoggy
  20. I have been reading about B-Vitamin shots. I don't think most people know just how easy it is to develop a B-complex defiency. They are water soluble and many factors can quickly cause a defiency. Factors that can cause deficiency: -Refined & processed foods. White flour actually drains B-Vitamins! -Oral birth control - Physicians are required by law to advise their patients to take B supplements if using birth control. Few physicians actually do this! -Alcohol -Smoking -Emotional

In this type of skin, the oil producing sebaceous glands are overactive and produce more oil than is needed. The oil oozes and gives the skin a greasy shine. The pores are enlarged and the skin has a coarse look. Causes of Oily Skin Heredity Diet Hormone levels Pregnancy Birth control pills Cosmetics you use Humidity and hot w
  22. Does anyone knows if B2 can help cure acne or make skin healthier?
  23. I think ive said this at least three times already. But if your acne is bad enough that it changes who you are and how you act, then you need to read this. I got hit with acne at 13 and had it till 16. I beat it like this. I went on accutane NOT FOR 4 MONTHS, but only 2 1/2. That should help a little bit. Then I went and got Vitamin B2 and took it for a month. Voila. acne gone. Look for a japanese product called Chocola BB. At least give this regimen a try... if you want to get rid of your acne
