  1. Hey is it okay to use Differin at night and Sudocrem in the morning? (with using Vaseline in between) And washing my face with manuka honey soap?
  2. Hi! I'm hoping to be starting Roaccutane very soon, and was wondering that when it comes to dry lips, what do you peeps think is best; Vaseline or Aquaphor? I'm in the UK and I think that I'd have to buy aquaphor online (unless anyone can recommend somewhere that sells it?). Is it worth doing this or is Vaseline just as good for dry accutane lips? Thanks, any inputs would be much appreciated
  3. Hi guys, so my skin is so dry, I feel like this may be time for some serious hydration. On my lips I've put Vaseline but is it non-comedognic for the rest of my face? Any recommendation for when skin is dry to the point when moving is uncomfortable and flaking is severe?
  4. I just wanted to start a topic that can definitively answer a common question people have about TCA Cross: Should I let the wound scab or keep it moist? I've seen arguments on the board for both sides, but after trying both ways, I can pretty confidently say that moist healing is the way to go. When I had TCA Cross for the first time I let my wounds scab over as per the instructions of many on this board. I ended up being reasonably happy with the results, and I can't say for sure that I wou
  5. Hi has anybody tried Vaseline sandalwood or vitamin e (bio oil) for your face? Has it helped? I'm a bit apprehensive about putting bio oil on my face because my face is already so oily and I don't wanna break out but at the same tins I've heard vitamin e is very good. Please help. Thank you!!!
  6. Your pimple has now become an open wound. What's the best way to treat an open wound? Keep it clean, moist, and covered. Apply Vaseline or Neosporin on the open wound before putting a bandage on it. I do this at night before I go to bed--and when I awake, the hole is usually sealed or sealed enough to wear I can apply makeup on it and it looks okay. If you try this, I'd suggest doing on a weekday so if it screws up, it's all good. Try at your own risk! I don't know if this works for everyone..
  7. Hi everyone! I am quite new to this community and am so excited to start this skincare journey! HISTORY OF MY SKIN: I have had acne for 3 years, and this is the first time it has been really bad due to my period. I was going from harsh chemicals like BP and Salycilic acid, to all natural lush skincare. I wasn't giving any product enough time and my skin just got worse. my skin has lots of red marks and hyperpigmentation, on my forehead and the inner parts of my cheeks. I also have healin
  8. Hey guys. So I've been having really really awful skin for the past two months. Lots of big spots, discolouration, hyperpigmentation and dryness/redness. I went to my derm in distress and she suggested accutane. I've decided I want to give it a go. However, aside from acne my main concern is the redness/dryness I suffer from around my nose. It's quite severe and usually I've found that the only 'relief' is a sunbed, however this isn't possible as it makes my redness more red and my hyperpi
  9. Hi Everyone, Today, I finally decided to start a personal log..... Ever since I was a teen (I'm 30 now), I've been trying to figure out keep my skin clear. When I think I've found the solution, things go awry. There are so many products on the list of things I've tried: Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash (burned my skin), Clean and Clear Oil Free Foaming Facial Cleanser (burned my skin, especially around my nose), Proactiv (did nothing), Benzoyl Peroxide 10% (Broke out my skin horribly, huge i
  10. An Introduction! Hello, I'm a relatively old visitor and lurker on this site but this would be my first post and I'm kind of a newbie and making logs and things. If this is not in the right place, please let me know-- there didn't seem to be a forum for logging efforts to be rid of red marks or PIH, but I could be wrong. Like I said, I'm new My skin: My skin isn't terrible, but it isn't good. For the most part, my acne has cleared up (phew) although I will still occasionally get a pimple or
  11. This is when my lips began to peel Hi! Im on a week and a day of accutane (generic brand)... and the first layer of my lips just peeled off ! Like completely... my lips are BLOOD BRIGHT RED and swollen... I feel like this is even worse than super dry chapped lips? I have tried a million chapsticks Dr dans.. everything. My derm even prescribed me 2% cortisone.. but I think he thought my lips were dry because they aren’t flaky or peeling anymore they are just super uncomfortable and it’s h
  12. Many websites recommend using a moisturizer after bp. As I don't currently own a particular face moisturizer, is it okay to use Vaseline instead? After researching online, I found out that It doesn't clog pores or anything as I have suspected. But I am still hesitating a bit.
  13. Sorry if I'm being vague, I typed up the whole thing and the site crashed without me copying it....: About 1.5 months ago I got a cyst in the crease of my nose where it meets my cheek. I was an idiot and tried to pop it, even lance it, so it became very inflamed...thus I got a cortisone shot which worked wonderfully...however 2 weeks later, it re-inflamed to about 60% of its original size. I got another shot which also worked nicely, however it slowly began to re-inflame again after a we

    Day 1

First entry to the progress of roaccutane treatment 30mg dosage daily In addition to starting roaccutane the corner of my lip has cracked and looks like a cold sore and theyre so dry they peel all the time and ive not even started it yet. took my first set of tablets today, clearly no problems or symptoms yet not looking forward to the breakouts and symptoms but having looked at people before and after pics it looks definitley worth it in the end. Even people complaining about extremely

    Day 4

So, I got so fed up with my dry skin that I decided to slather Vaseline all over my face. That's right, you heard it right: Vaseline. Im extremely happy because my skin no longer feels like it's burning off. Now, here comes the greatest test of them all: will it help my skin or break me out? Well, I've done my research. Vaseline can not break you out (apparently). I guess it acts as a "barrier", so if you have dirt and oil in your skin before hand, that will break you out. I made sure to
