  1. Hi everyone, New to this forum and planning on reading the many helpful posts but wanted to start by asking the question that landed me here. I am 28 and have had acne since I was 15. The only other health issue I have is some digestive problems (bloating, constipation, etc) but nothing too serious and have never noticed patterns between the two. I've tried an incredible variety of topical creams, antibiotics, birth control pills, natural remedies, and nothing ever really had an effect. A ye
  2. tttrouble

    NOTHING has worked

I kid you not, I have tried everything to clear my skin. oral antibiotics topical antibiotics topical creams etc. changing my diet- going plant based (no dairy, no gluten, no meat) going on the pill- in an attempt to balance my hormones going on anti-anxiety medication- to try and calm me the F down. (I always break out when there's something on my mind) zinc supplements, omegas, etc. glycolic acid, lactic acid, retinol, sulfur, etc. (everythin
  3. Hey everyone, My first post on here after being a member for years. I just need to reach out today, I read these forums all the time and they make me feel supported and like I'm not alone, but I still feel like I am. Do you find yourself just staring at everyone's skin around you? Your friends have perfect skin, and although I'm 20, I feel like people think I'm disgusting, like I'm dirty and young and like I don't try hard enough because it comes so easily to them and it's so easy to ta
  4. Okay so I'm a 22 year old guy, in college. Have had bad acne since 13, got worse after a short round of tetraysal at 18 (gave me side effects- IBS, food intolerances, worsened my acne!!). IBS healed but food intolerances and acne still remain. I have it on my face back and chest, sometimes scalp. I keep it at bay by what I eat (no sugar/dairy/gluten/nuts/fruit/alcohol). They all break me out. So I've tried everything -tried healing my gut( fermented foods, bone broth) -liver cleans
  5. I literally have tried every possible solution. I have had acne for over 20 years now and I know first hand the emotional damage that alters your personality and causes terrible depression. Often I have just wanted to die or live alone forever. I have tried every single product on the planet and nothing worked. I was having some other health issues that led me to take a product called plexus. It partly involved a pro biotic and a bio cleanse pill that I took every day. That stared help
  6. Hey everyone I'm looking for some advice. I'm at the end of my ropes. I'm a 22 year old female who has struggled with acne since I was ten. I get a little bit of everything which is why I think it's been so hard to tackle. I've been to several different derms and tried a million different things excluding accutane. Up to date I've tried several different kinds of birth control (currently on orthotricyclen), antibiotics, creams, gels, washes, diets, natural remedies, chemical peels, extract
  7. Hi everyone! I'm coming here for some ideas on what to do to help my skin now. Here is the quick run down: -I'm 19 - Have had acne for 5 years -Visited a dermatologist for 4 of those 5 years -I have been on finacea, clindamycin gel and lotion, minocycline, epiduo forte (this did help quite a bit but I still got frequent small breakouts), tretinoin .5%, retin-A micro .08%, Tazorac .1%, bactrim, onexton, benzefoam, tried Navan skincare vitamins (honestly don't know if these helped) -I had an
  8. Hi, I'm a 29 year old female with adult acne. I've never gone a DAY in my life without a pimple on my face. I'm going to be 30 in August and I've just had ENOUGH of it. My acne is primarily on my chin, jaw line, and around my mouth. The pimples get big and seem to last forever and I'm guilty of picking them, which is why I have acne scars in those places too. I finally saw a dermatologist. AGAIN. I've been seeing different dermatologists since I was 15. She wouldn't put me on accutane
  9. I was wondering if anyone can help, im 17 and have lots of cystic breakouts along with whiteheads etc. My skin used to be much worse however it got better but is now slowly getting worse. I have tried every over the counter cream and every prescription cream. My acne is not hormonal as blood tests said my hormone levels were normal. The only thing that has worked was using coconut oil and antibiotics however when I came off them my skin got worse. I know the antibiotics killed the bacteria in m
  10. I am so grateful for this website! Without it, I may still be dealing with one of the worst skin conditions I've ever had. I wanted to write this in the hopes that someone else can benefit from my situation. Starting in May 2014, I suddenly got hundreds of tiny little bumps all over my forehead. Assuming it was because of my bike helmet (I am an avid mountain biker), I washed my helmet and made sure to keep my skin clean. It did nothing to help my skin. Then, the bumps made their way down my

    Help!?!?

Okay so I am a 22 year old male and I've had acne for about 3 years now and it is now at the stage where it is moderate and by the looks of it it will end up becoming severe. I have tried almost everything I can think of trying from natural remedies such as lemon juice and apple cider vinegar and hundreds more. Have also tried almost every over the counter product plus benzoyl peroxide and I have been on oral antibiotics (oxytetracycline) for the past 3 months. I have had 5 salycilic peels and a
