So this is my first entry, and I think I should start with who I am. Maybe this will help you relate and maybe stuff that helps me will help you! So I'm a 21 year old girl with not too severe acne but enough acne to lower my self-esteem. My journey so far: I had baby skin throughout puberty. Like. My skin was epic. Beautiful. Made from the gods. Okay, maybe not that good but you get the picture. And then it slowly said "F you UnspoiledDude, F you!" and changed into this mess of a skin.

  4. Hey all! I recently found that I most probably have fungal folliculitis on my face. I think it came when I first tried the OCM method which did not work for me at all. I guess my pores got clogged? Anyway I started treating it with Nizoral and Head and Shoulders Classic clean, alternating every 2 days or so. I have been doing it properly since friday (before that I wasn't absorbing everything so doing it wrong for 2 days). Things seem to be improving but not as fast as I had hoped. I have JR P
  5. Hi guys, I've been looking through this place a little bit for the past few weeks, and I thought I'd make a post today. I'm now 18 (almost 19) and I started having spots/acne in certain places around 2 years ago. I didn't know much about cleaning and moisturizing back then, and I unfortunately used to go crazy at these spots and pick and pop. Fast forward today, I have dark spots/marks from previous spots (it'd probably be the same as red scars, but I'm dark skinned so--) and I still get

    DAY 17

My scalp is so dry now, has anybody got any recommendations for something to put on it? The problem is right at my hairline and there's a lot of flakiness. The only part of my face that's dry are my cheeks, my lips haven't gotten dry yet! Thankfully.
  7. Ordered the kit this past week and hope to get it in the mail this week! I've read over everything but there's only one thing I'm confused about. Since this will be my first time using any of these products, should I use the BP all over my face or just do it in problem areas or vice versa (start with problem areas, do whole face after a couple weeks) to start out with?
  8. i am 20 years old male....my face is full of pimples...on my forehead, cheeks, chin ,jaws...it just looks ugly...i recently went to a dermatologist..he gave me clindamycin phosphate and nicotinmide gel to apply in the morning,, and benzoyl peroxide gel 2.5% gel for nights... i hv been using these for about 12-13 days and so far there has been no improvement...its soo frustrating i want to look good not this ugly mess...how long can i expect to see the results ...

    Please Help Me!

please help me. I don't know what type of scars I have or in what way to treat them. I don't have alot of money but I'm desperate and will do ANYTHING and suffer all types of pain to rid myself of these. and my scars are weird as well because they are almost like a tunnel system. where two scars will be connected under the skin with a tiny tunnel. I can put a safety pin between them under my skin almost like a piercing. I'm new to this and have tried microdermabrasion with some type of laser whe

    How to cure acne?

Do chemical peels, photodynamic therapy, or other facial surgeries help with acne or scar removal? I feel like my skin gets too clogged up with blackheads, whiteheads, and dirt that it causes acne. Would a chemical peel or photodynamic therapy session create healthier skin that's less prone to clogging up?
  14. Hello, We don't have tretinoid in my country in Europe so I'm wondering if I could buy it over the counter in Hong Kong? I'm here for a quick visit and I've tried everything else except for accutane and tretinoin without any improvements fit two years now (anti biotic, adapalen, ben per., clindamycin, Diane). Please advice if you know if I can get tretinoin in Hong Kong! :whistling:
  15. Hi everyone, thank you now for taking a min to read my first posting on this site. Like everyone else here, I am an hardcore acne sufferer! I do everything that is recommended, eat clean, don't smoke, take acne meds, etc, etc. It has been a long and hard journey, I have done three rounds of Accutane ( can't do anymore due to liver damage) five rounds of Fraxal laser treatment to help reduce the scars and breakouts, mountains of topical creams and retanoids perscribed by doctors all with min
  16. Hey, new here. Begging for some help. Absolutely cannot take it anymore. I have been suffering from acne for years. All throughout high school and college. For years now i have tried everything possible to clear my acne, from going to a derm. And getting prescription to every over the counter product possible. I have had it. I cant look in the mirror without wanting to rip my face off. I have spent easily over $1000 on products/treatments and i am so depressed. I believe i have comdeonal acne be
  17. Hey guys! I just wanted to start this topic on the over the counter product, Tea Tree Oil, and post my journey with using this product. So before going any further, I just wanted to give a brief history on my acne. I've had acne since I started puberty...so maybe when I was around 12. I never really knew how to clear it up and did not have much help with my skin so I was practically on my own and I had no idea what to do. All I used at that age was an astringent and it really didnt

    Please Help Me Out):

Hello(: I'm 17 years old, female. I've struggled from acne beginning in 6th grade, it was mostly in my forehead. I used Duac Topical gel and it seemed to have worked because for 7th-9th grade my skin was wonderful! Then around sophomore year, my acne came back but it left red marks all over my cheeks. My forehead barely gets breakouts, but my cheeks have scars and tiny red dots that resemble red blackheads. It's incredibly discouraging and I often cry from frustration because even if ever

    Help!

Hello everyone, I am new to this website but I have been finding it really helpful in the last hour that I joined. I am 16 years old, and I know that is young for this type of site but i need helpful advice! I had mild to moderate acne in 8th grade, and the summer going into 9th. I got put on liquid medications to put on in the morning and before bed from the dermatologist, but i wasn't finding that they were improving my skin at all. So, as it got worse and i got more self conscious about it, I
  20. Actually this was the intention of my first post ever on this forum. where is the successful acne treatments directory (/subforum)? a place where all the people who got rid of acne would present their successful treatment no matter the type (lifestyle/diet/hormonal/topical/etc). all of the success stories are lost in different subforums or even as ordinary post responses. seemingly there are a few types of problems which lead to acne, and some lucky people found the solution. can we pin
  21. Hello everyone! I'm Tyler and I'm going to be chronicling my journey on Accutane (Isotretinoin). First off, let me give you so background information. I am 16 years old, a male, 6'2, and 165 lbs. I'm very active, with basketball taking up my days almost everyday after school. I've had acne since (my guess) 6th grade. I think that is when someone first said something to me about my acne, and man did it feel belittling. But people get older and more mature and people stop saying things!
  22. For the last 5 years I've been constantly struggling with bad acne. i've felt hopeless, fearful, ugly, unlovable. Lately i've been fantasizing about a place i could wake up every morning and feel accepted by my self and those around me. I know its a pipe dream. but what if there was a place were people could come to vacation or to receive therapy or go through accutane treatment or any type of skin treatment around other people who are going through the exact same thing. a place of tolerance, l
  23. Have just been told that UK has almost no Skinoren in any pharmacies as manufacturer isn't sending it out and it could be months before we get any. I'm planning to buy some on the net in the meantime in case it is a while before I can get some on prescription again and my GP is hoping that he can prescribe me the next best thing. Will this be Finacea gel, do you think? I know they both have Azelaic acid in them but I thought that Finacea is mainly used for Rosacea, not acne?
  24. its been there for at least 5 years.. its skin coloured and it doesnt really hurt or anything, nothing really comes out of it and its just skin... i also have some on my nose..can someone help me? how do i treat this?
