  1. Hi! I'm a new member in here and just signed up recently because I thought it would be the best place for me to share my experience with the dreaded acne as well as learn about other people's and ask for advices. As a short background, I've had acne since I was like 14 and they were usually just one or two of them but they were painful cysts. Fast forward 5 years today and my face really has changed a lot - it is worse. For the past 3 years, my face would be almost clear during the summer t
  2. Hi all, I've posted on here before about my acne history (see: "It Came out of Nowhere" on the Emotional/Psychological threads), and after seemingly developing moderately severe acne all of a sudden, I'm now the clearest I've been in months. For anyone in the TORONTO (Canada) area, I HIGHLY recommend the Acne Treatment Clinics: http://www.acnetreatmentclinic.com/ They are certified dermatologists who specialize in acne care. They take OHIP and there is an additional $30 charge on top o
  3. Hey Guys, This is my first post on this forum. So firstly, thank you all the members for all the valuable info here. Luckily, I'm at a point where I do not suffer from acne anymore (Thank you Accutane, you miracle drug). After much research on this forum, it seems like subcision + suction/fillers, and/or microneedling seem to be the preferred route of treatment for depressed acne scars. But, at the same time I have read that subcision works only for rolling scars. I was wondering if sub
  4. hello, i am 18 yr old male and i have mild acne... i have mild acne. only in the forehead and little ones beside the eyebrows. even though it is mild i don't like it and want to get rid of it. should i start accutane or is there a better treatment method for me? i've tried a few over the counter products and know to cleanse exfoliate and moisturize... btw. does anyone live in toronto or in Canada? In toronto, can you get accutane by going straight to a term or do you have to do it thru

    Toronto Subcision Doctors?

Hi, does anyone know a derm that performs subcision in Toronto? I had a consult with Dr. Sheldon Pollack he charges $1000 and only performs subcision once. It sounded a little too pricey to me. I've read a lot about Padma Jain and all the treatments she offers just sounds like she's trying to make as much money as she can. Please give me your input, it is greatly appreciated
  6. Looking for a good dermatologist in the GTA and/or Montreal area for my acne scarring. Looking for subscission/filler work, anyone know any good ones?
  7. My acne started when I moved here in Toronto Canada, I was 17 then now Im 34 and fed up with it. I used to go to Dr. Geller acne treatment clinic they have 4 branches then 2 of those helped me with acne. Ive been to the yonge and st claire (under Dr. David Eisen) for a very long time. I tried benzoil peroxide, minocyn and everything in between. I did 2 rounds or treatment of Accutane with birth control pills when I was in early 20s. I stopped the pill when we want to get pregnant (i was 29 yo
