  1. Hey guys! I attached my pictures so you can see my acne! Wow, I can't believe I actually dared to take pictures of my skin (of course with no make up on, lol) and to post them here. But I need your help, because I don't know what to do with this spots all over my face. Products I'm using: Differin 0,1% Tratacne (Tretinoin + erythromycin) Make up: Only on weekends, so... nothing to worry about. Nutrition: I've been drinking a lot of water this week. I eat healthy, vegetables, fruits, meat

    Stopping Bp For A Week

My skin has mostly cleared up from active acne but it's extremely dehydrated and flaky ,, no amount of moisturizer would help and any product i apply simply flakes off or balls up.. nasty. So I have decided to cut it out of my regimen for a week and then go back only treating affected areas with tiny amounts. This might not be my best Idea, but I really can't deal with this dry tired looking skin. Yes, I have tried cutting back on the amount but I think what my skin needs is some time to r

    Start Of Week 2

I decided I'd really like to document my progress. This medication is pretty intense. Today is the first day of my second week. I am currently on 60 mg per day. It seems a little high? I'm 24 years old, 5'7" and 120 lbs. I see a lot of people on 20-40 mg but I guess my derm knows better than me. I've only gotten 3 white heads since starting last week which is a MAJOR improvement. Side effects ... * My first 4 days I had terrible headaches that lasted continually 4 days straight. It had me ve

    Clear Skin Challenge-

Hi everyone, This is the first time I am writing anything, anywhere on the net. Let me begin my story. I have had acne since I was 14 years old and I am 26 now. One to two year having acne which turned moderate from mild I went to a derm. Obviously nothing worked for me, no medication, no cleansers, no moisturisers, nothing. I had back acne too for couple of months. Do you know what happened to the back acne? It cleared completely. How? Cause I did not have tme to care for it as it did not show

    Day 26

Day 26 - Didn't pick today either. great~ The minocycline is no longer making me depressed, but it still is making me really tired... actually, that's why I didn't pick today. Didn't have the energy. LOL Another note, Duac is excellent for getting rid of the black heads on my nose. So crazy

    Accutane=Zzzzz....

Ok, I am on month 3, day 13 of Accutane, 80mg. I started at 40mg, then 60mg, and I will stay on 80mg for the duration. Has anyone else noticed that this seems to make you very tired. I am a very high energy, active person. Achy joints I can deal with.. But I work in a fast paced job and do not need to be tired all day long. I am planning on talking to my derm this coming month about it. Just wondered if any fellow users have noticed the sleepiness it causes? Thanks!!!
  7. my acne will not go away no matter what i do and it makes me want to cry. everyday i see a new pimple pop up and i honestly just start to cry cause it has taken such a toll on my confidence. i use to have clear skin a couple of months ago and now no matter what i do my acne simply will not go away. i have tried so many f***ing things and nothing works. i’ve changed my face wash about 10 times and now i am just back to my routine that first cleared my skin, ABS and jojoba oil. i have tried go
  8. I've been on acctuane 20mg for the past 3 months and it has cleared up my back acne considerably. The acne has faded and now when you run your fingers over the pimples, they don't seem to be there. So it that regard accutane was successful. I have another months left of capsules but I don't think ill proceed with taking them due these side effects even though my acne has not cleared completely. dry eyes red eyes feeling tired The dry eyes is pretty bad even I do use 'dry-eye moisturising ey
  9. Hi everyone, I am just about to finish my first month of accutane, and I've been taking 30mg per day. I have had several side effects such as achy joints and muscles (neck pain, back pain, ribs are sore), dry eyes, mild/moderate upper abdominal pain and a little headache now and then. But all of these things are perfectly tolerable...... except for the fatigue. About an hour after I take my dose (around 5pm) I start to get tired and can't maintain concentration on anything! It is so unbelievabl
  10. I think I finally found a way to reduce my very stubborn hormonal acne. I am 30 and have been struggling with hormonal acne for as long as I can remember. I usually get them around my mouth and chin, and I get very oily skin in that area. I usually start breaking out at around 2 weeks before my period. Sometimes they get as high as my cheeks and some really hurt (Even recently I started getting cystic acne along my jawline). Unfortunately I have a very bad habit of picking at them especially whe
  11. I have severe cystic acne. I've been dealing with bad acne ever since I was 12 years old. I am turning 21 in a week or so. I have tried absolutely EVERYTHING you could think of. Whether it be over the counter or prescription from a dermatologist. NOTHING WORKS. I am at my wits end. I hate myself, I truly and absolutely hate myself. I never want to do anything anymore and it is even hard to go to work and school because I am ashamed to look this way. I go to my dermatologist on Friday...... I
  12. Hello everyone, time has come to make a post, hoping someone could give some directions or tips. About me: Male, 26 years old. Sensitive skin. Lifestyle: Work with computer, but love to exercise, mostly - running. Acne type: Mostly - blackheads and blackheads that turn in to whiteheads. Whiteheads can show up really fast and are filled with loads of white puss. They pop really easy and also heal pretty quickly. Since they are on top of surface, I get no scaring. No cystic acne for me.
  13. Hello, I hope you guys can help me because my doctor is not helpful at all and I am getting very depressed. I am 32 f, and have been on spironolactone (the brand they sell at walgreens) for the 3rd month now. I originally went on it because I was feeling very hormonal all the time, emotional, depressed, and getting bad breakouts at least twice a month with scarring. well, since I started it I have been feeling worse. I gained weight, I'm always bloated and moody, I can't even have the ene
  14. I'm 23, I've been a member on here for a couple of years now, and I have on and off moderate acne. This doesn't sound like I should really be that depressed, but I am. I've suffered with depression along side of my acne since being 17. They started at the same time, and they are definitely linked. My acne came as a surprise to me, because no one in my family has ever suffered. I'm the youngest of 5, all of whom never get even the odd pimple, and I have parents, and grandparents who have never

    Acne and depression

Hi! I'm 23 years old and i've been suffering with acne since i was 14. I know it doesn't seem like a long time and i know there are people out there who has been suffering for a lot longer but when you feel like you have tried every possible way to get rid of it, it begins to feel like a lifetime. Does anyone else suffer from depression because of this stupid condition? I used to be loud and happy, i loved meeting people and making people smile. Now all i want to do is stay home in bed, i don'

    Back Acne

I'm a 27 year old male who didn't suffer much from acne through my teenage years. Over the last couple I slowly developed acne on my back, shoulders, and chest. It's at the point were it's pretty freaking bad! It seems like no mater what product or regiment I'm on it only gets better for a week then it comes back with a vengeance I have no idea what to do or try now. A little more about myself I have sensitive skin. Suffered from seborrhea dermatitis on my face and scalp pretty much my who
  17. Thinking of starting the regimen tonight, but with my own products rather than ordering them today and waiting. I saw a video of a girl that uses olay sensitive skin face wash (which is exactly what i have) and I have an all natural soothing moisturizer from lush. The only problem is I don't have a tube of BP 2.5%. I do however, have a big tube of clearasil Rapid Action Treatment Gel. Its Salicylic Acid 2%. Should I try using this and starting my own sort of regimen? I think the SA might wo

  19. I'm 14 and my acne is killing me. I have a super low self esteem, especially since I used to think I was good looking before I had acne. Now, I can't even look in a mirror without getting depressed. To make things worse, I'm the only one with acne in your family. My parents never had it as bad as me, by brother had perfect smooth skin his whole life, did my sister only gets small breakouts around her period. I have tried everything. Every cleanser, moisturizer, cream, pad and it hasn't helped. I
