  1. Yesterday i noticed some horrific large spots in my scalp - almost cyst size - 3/4 large, inflamed, inflamed, painful to touch spots. Today they are significantly reduced and on way to fading but i did sleep a good 9 hours for the first time in ages last night. Things to note: Last 2 nights i have used a shampoo i don't usually use, normally i would use somekind of dandruff type one but i was somewhere else so had no choice - one i used: Dove Hair Therapy Intensive Repair Shampoo
  2. There is a remedy for Hidradenitis Suppurativa. First the facts, this info is found in some hidradenitis forums & I found it in Celiac and Gluten Free forums – Hidradenitis is caused by antibodies to gluten. Somewhere I read that the tiny tubing that leads from the apocrine sweat glands get clogged. I think the gluten antibodies and bits of gluten we eat combine together and clogs these tubing and that starts the problem because the glands continue to produ

    Urine Therapy

Has anyone used urine therapy for acne? I am very hesitant to try it but I am desperate. Please give me any experience you have had. I was also wondering if low carb dieting would effect the urine therapy. I currently follow the atkins. Please give me any feedback. I find this disgusting but if it works it is worth it.

    Skin condition

Hello everyone, that's my first thread on this forum. Found it somewhere in the Internet cause I was looking for help and here's my story. As I started puberty, I got acne. It wasn't as bad as in some cases but it left me with scars - especially on the temples. Anyway - when I was 18 I've started taking isotretinoin for about a year and I got rid of acne. About a year after my isotretinoin therapy had ended I underwent a sieries of fraxel laser treatment (for the scars) - the last one was 2 week
  5. INVITING YOU TO MY JOURNEY WITH ACCUTANE...I AM 32 YEARS OLD WITH MODEREATE ACNE STARTED OUT WITH SEVERE ACNE AND THROUGH TACKLING WITH ALL THE CREAMS AND 3 STEP SYSTEMS OUT THERE I JUST CANNOT GET RID OF IT. THROUGH NUMEROUS VISITS WITH MY DERMATOLOGIST SHE HAS FINALLY GAVE IN AND PRESCRIBED THE ACCUTANRE FOR ME..YAY!! TRUTH IS TO GET TO THE MODERATE STAGE THAT I AM IN NOW I JUST STOPPED WITH ALL THE CREAMS AND ANTIBOITICS. I WENT STRICTLY CLEANSING MY FACE WITH CETEPHIL DAILY CLEANSER AND MOIS
  6. Hello everyone, Today marks my third week on Accutane and I'm not sure if I will be continuing the treatment. Just yesterday I started dealing with very intense depression and anxiety. For example, I couldn't stop thinking "What if someone very close to me died.." my grandmother specifically, and it was absolutely tearing me apart. These thoughts keep me up at night. So, I skipped last nights dose (40mg) and I'm calling my dermatologist today. Has anyone else experienced these thoughts? How
  7. Hey everyone, After doing a little research I thought that this might be interesting to post. I would like to see what you all think about this. Here are a few abstracts from this site: http://heelspurs.com/led.html#skin - If you use LEDs check this out. 1. LED light arrays are a means to provide these wavelengths. Companies may claim lasers and pulse rates are important, but the only things are the wavelength and total amount of light energy applied. For example, 880 nm is a bad choic
  8. I currently own the omnilux clear-u which I have been using for over a year with great results. The only problem with it is that following use I get a small amount of hyperpigmentation/darkening of the skin in the areas that I use the light on. This is due to the light being held so close to the skin, because when I was having alternative red and blue light therapy at my dermatologist from the professional machine I didn't have this problem. For this reason I was planning on purchasing the Be
  9. Hi guys, new here. I have always prowled this site but never went on to create a user. Well anyway... I have been using an at-home LED Light Therapy hand-held machine for acne and perioral dermatitis. It's been only about a week but my skin has responded quite well so far. However, the post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation marks that were left from my perioral dermatitis (had it since I was 11) seems to have gotten DARKER! It's in the form of a 'goatee' although I have no hair in that area. I'm
