    Scared...

Ok, well you probably know why I'm here, I have acne. Terrible acne. And being a nearly 16 year old girl, I have enough to be dealing with without worrying about people judging me because of my skin...I have horrible red cysts literally covering my cheeks and chin, and all along the sides of my face ,and the marks from them don't go away... so I thought I'd make a blog here so people who are going through the same thing can read it, as none of my friends have acne to my extent, and I feel so alo

    Can't Beat Acne Help

Im a 16 year old male, and started getting acne at 15, but didn't get real bad until about 4 months ago. I tried using stridex, or over the counter products such as neutrogena, and proactiv, to no success. I then first saw a dermatologist about 9 months ago. He gave me antibiotics (I forget which one), told me to use neutrogena 2 % salicylic acid, and a cream. Anyway there was absolutely no improvement, and my acne continued to get worse after this. I then switched to a new dermatologist about 5
  3. Hi! i've read many logs about accutane and have found them to be extremely helpful, and i figured i'd make one not just for myself but for people to see another perspective on this medicine and how it works. speaking as a teenage girl, acne is just the worst. probably similar to most of you reading this, i've tried everything possible. i've gone through 3 different antibiotic's, many topicals, almost all available store bought products, proactiv, X-out, etc... and needless to say my famil

    Day One Accutane

First day on Accutane, Starting College in a week and a half eeep! Hey Y'all! Since this is my first post I guess I should introduce myself. Im a seventeen year old girl and I have had pretty bad acne since I was 13. To the best of my knowledge I have tried every cure for acne ever imagined; topical, dietary and antibiotic and nothing has worked which has been incredibly frustrating as I'm sure some of you probably know. So I have decided to try accutane. Having Acne has been increasi

    Hmmm

I really need to make a decision I know that I want to take accutane, and because I'm only going to be taking a 20mg dose, I hopefully won't have to worry as much about the serious side effects as I would with a higher dosage. But at the same time, my skin does look quite good at the moment with the benzoyl peroxide (for me), but I think it's just a phase as it looked even better this last month as well and I broke out so badly all over my face after that. I'm just dreading these next fe

    Day Four

Day 4, Let me just start out by saying EWWWWWW my face was hella F**king gross today...seriously just beyond. Maybe I put on too much moisturizer or something because my face was the kind of pizza oily that would look gross even on a pizza; I literally felt like the oil on my skin added legit weight to my face. The make up Ive been using usually sucks up any and all oil I would naturally accumulate on my skin during the day...but NOT TODAYYYYYY. I was sitting at my desk (at work=nasty flor

    Day 4

Hello People of the World!, I’m back, sorry about the delay. So today is day 4 for the Epiduo, and I am starting to notice some changes. My T-Zone started breaking out and my right cheek is breaking out with large zits. Also where my glasses rub on the bridge of my nose, I had one or two zits that were still under the skin, now I have three HUGE!!! Ones (I think they may be cysts, oh how I hate them!) my skin is also a little flaky, as if the dead skin the Epiduo is ridding of is piling on t
