    Doing Nothing - Teen Acne

I'm a sixteen year old guy with moderate acne, I've tried many things, and now I'm trying doing nothing. I've had acne since I was about 12. It's always made me feel very insecure and depressed. I've tried multiple things, but have tried to stay away from the drugs such as Acutane, because of the possible side effects. The one thing I tried for the longest time was Epiduo. I can tell you more about that if you like, but this log will mostly be about my current regimen - nothing. I've been doin
  2. Okay so I'm 14 and yeah... I'm a girl. A couple months ago I went on proavtiv and it cleared my skin for like a week then it started to come back. I did some research and decided to do the whole no wash caveman thing and that really didn't do anything besides make my face extremly flaky. I did the Ocm for about a week after that and it made my skin worse. Now I'm back on proactiv and its not helping much. Its making new zits shrink faster but thats about it. My sister has some retin-a that we go
  3. I need to know what these bumps are and how to get rid of them. I started to get these in the summer :/ I provided pictures too! I wash my face 2 a day
  4. Hi Guys, I'm not trying to take either side here, I have just been thinking lately with all the risks and negative aspects of Acne Treatment (Side effects of Acne Products and Medication) in the case of Acne in the teen years, is it better to just leave our skin alone and not try to get rid of it, is it better for us in the long run? Believe me, I know why someone would try to get rid of Acne, whether it's severe or very mild, I have put myself in a bad position by trying to treat my acne and I
  5. Hey there community, this is the worst my acne has been in awhile and I'd like to say that it's making me feel down, but at this point, it really isn't because I've had worse. I know it's not the most attractive thing to see when walking down the street, but it has become such a part of me that I accept it instead of trying to fight a battle that I know I won't win anytime soon. My acne is hereditary and my dad (who I got it from) had it much worse than I do. My older siblings also had acne, but
  6. So I'm a 14 year old teenager, with pretty mild acne. I have a pretty good lifestyle, I use an organic soap, I workout a lot daily(been making a lot of gains lol) I drink lots of water, I only ocassionally eat junk food, and still my acne hasn't improved. So I read up on taking vitamins to help fight acne. I started taking 2 gel 5000iu pills of vit D3, 2 30mg zinc tablets, 2 magnesium tablets, and one non flush niacin pill. I've been doing this for about 70 days, and haven't noticed much of a ch
  7. hi, i am 15 and i have a really weird forehead texture which looks rough and there are tiny bumps. specifically, this only shows up in photos and looks far worse outdoors. for awhile i thought it was folliculitis and tried nizoral but that didn't work out too well. i've tried paula's choice bha as well however even after the purging period i would get random cysts on areas i'm not acne prone to. exfoliating somehow makes my skin have an even worse texture (palmer's brand) so i stopped doing that
  8. hi, so I've been struggling with acne since I was about 13, but recently it has flared up as a result of the birth control pill that I started in late June-early July. I've been on 5 different medications that have all failed (duac, zineryt, differin, oxytetracycline and lymecycline), switched to a vegan diet in April and plus have tried every single over-the-counter method (like everyone). yet nothing is working! I exercise regularly (dancing and occasional running and gym) yet I still look

    Proactiv Plus

I am 16 years old and i started my proactiv plus journey february 12, 2014. I thankfully never suffered through severe acne throughout my life. I usually got occasional pimples which started when i entered high school, which is normal for any teenage girl. Throughout my freshman and sophomore year in high school, my skin was normal, again had occasional pimples like any other teen, and it went away in a few days/weeks. (Also, i personally noticed i never had any breakouts or any acne during
  10. I've been using Priactiv for 7 years and it has kept me flawless but recently It's seemed to be losing its effectiveness. Is it worth trying Priactiv+?
  11. Trying to decide if my 13 yr old daughter, who has 1 out of 10 scale acne, should start the regimen to help control and stop acne from starting? Or do you have to wait for it to become a problem? Will starting the regimen hurt more than help? Not a topic I've seen before, any help appreciated.
  12. Hello! I'm an 18 year old girl and I am struggling with constant pimples. I don't have proper acne, but I have regular breakouts. They are stronger one week before my period, but they never seem to go away. The pimples are not that big and they go away after a couple of days, but I always have them and nothing I do seems to work. I've tried EVERYTHING. I've tried every product ever and nothing worked. Now I'm going the natural way and my skin is better, but still not clear. I don't eat dairy or
  13. Update on the lemons

So the lemons have been making my face look and feel better but recently where i have my acne scars they have been getting red around it and im sure its from the lemons. I was trying to put on moisturizer but it burned really bad, (it did not make my whole face red, only around my scars) I have stopped using lemons for a while, and i will try again soon. Also, this may only be for me im not sure if other people have experienced this problem

    My Story With Acne

So where do I start? Hopefully not with the whole puberty talk but just the acne problem that comes with it should do (chuckle). When I was in grade 5 about 11 I got my first zit on my nose. I didn't know until then but that was a pustule where there was a red inflamed look to it. Of course no one in my class was use to it so they called me rudoph the red nose reindeer. Kids can be cruel right? Well needless to say, I just brushed it off until I started middle school in grade 6. That's when my s
  16. Hey, I’m 14 years old supposedly struggling with hormonal acne. I’ve got spots and blackheads on my forehead, acne scars on my cheeks, whiteheads and blackheads on my nose and clogged pores pretty much everywhere. I’ve considered using AHA and BHA peels by The Ordinary as I’ve heard chemical peels really benefit your skin. I was wondering if they really work or if they make things worse. Has anyone tried chemical peels or are there alternatives?

    Teen Acne And Vitamins?

Hey everyone, new to the forums and I have some questions about vitamins and my skin. Im 15 and going to be a sophomore this year. Ive had acne since 7th grade and it has gotten worse over the years. In 7th grade it was my chin, 8th grade it was my forehead, and 9th grade it was chin and my cheeks. My cheeks are the only things now that have bad acne on them and its really annoying because of the scars they leave behind. Ive tried everything until i decided to just switch to a mild cleaner and m
  18. Well I understand this is a acne forum but I didn't know where else to go. As you can see I have quite bad wrinkles on my forehead, I've had these for years but never really thought much of it (thought everyone had it when they lifted eyebrows) but now I know people my age barely have one line let alone the 4-5 I do. I don't wanna look 60 by the age of 30 please can someone help me get rid of them or reduce them.
  19. Yo guys! First of all, happy new year! I hope 2015 was great for you and I hope that this new year of 2016 will be even better! Anyways, I'll try to make this as short as possible. (SKIP TO THE 2ND PARAGRAPH TO GET TO THE POINT IF YOU'RE IN A HURRY! ) I'm a 17 year old male that has mild scarring at worse. I would say that 87% of people with acne scars have slightly worse or way worse scars than me and 13% people with acne scars have less noticeable scars than I do. So in other words,

    Is my acne that bad?

Hello everybody. Before I start acne took over my life and those who have it really know what I'm talking about... It's difficult to post a picture so I'm going to ask you the severity of my face. It's all genetics for me as my dad had very problematic skin during his teenage years. I sometimes don't leave the house due to the redness.. which drugstore products would be really helpful for my type of skin..? - it gets really oily at the end of the day - kind of sensitive - a little bit te
  21. Ok, I started the Regimen last week. I'm using the clean and clear foaming facial wash and a 2.5 benzoil peroxid cream with olay facial lotion for sensitive skin. I'm 15 and my skin has never been better!!! It would be better but i wear make-up every other day so that messes things up a bit. I was amazed how important moisterizing is!!! A tip for teens? DONT PICK!! I picked once a few days ago and I broke out!! Talk about one step forward two steps back -.-
  22. Hello. Over the last few months I've gained moderate to severe acne just on my cheeks. I'm fifteen years old male and this is devastating my social life, I quit my job and have isolated myself for the entire summer. I can't even go out without a hoodie on. I've tried every different kind of topical treatment and nothing works. So I found out about the link between diet & acne. I've been gluten free for 3 weeks because I thought that was my trigger. No results. For the last four days I've

Please help my super oily skin!

I used to have acne problems when I was 13 until 15 years old. Right now, being 19, I rarely have acne but I do suffer from extremely oily face and NOTHING works!!! I wash my face twice (morning and night), I always remove my makeup and I exfoliate my skin three times per week and nothing. This is very frustrating because using makeup is the only thing that kind of controls my oiliness and I'd prefer not to use makeup at all Before applying makeup I use milk of magnesia and a primer and I use b
  24. Hi guys, This is my first post here because I have no idea what to do about my face anymore. I had picture perfect skin just 2.5 months ago, now my skin is dripping oil, constantly breaking out. I made an apt for bc but I don't know which one to go on, or if I even truly need it. I have a fee breakouts constantly now, but 11 days before my period (every month now) I get tons of breakouts, especially around my eyebrows and my cheeks, and lots of small pimples on my chin and jawline. I use a
