  1. I've been using TactuPump/Epiduo for the past three weeks, and it's been hell. For the first couple days, nothing really happened. My skin got a little red as expected, with some slight peeling on the corners of my nose. But then all hell broke loose when I decided to use some drugstore makeup (Revlon, to be exact) to cover up the redness. I might have gotten too drug happy as well. I foolishly thought that applying MORE medication would speed up the process (I've now realized that the inst
  2. Through my most difficult times I was reading through acne.org forums and I promised myself that if I ever cleared up my acne for good I would make an account and share my story. I first started getting acne when I was 10. At first it was only a bunch of tiny bumps on my forehead that weren't noticeable until you came up close. In the following two years, it developed into severe cystic acne over my entire face but somehow it didn't get to me too much, probably since I was still quite young a

  4. Hi, my family doctor recently prescribed me Tactupump (about 3 weeks now). I've read that the burning and the dryness goes away after 2 weeks tops however mine is as bad as it has ever been. When I use cleanser it burns a bit; some cleansers I use burn a lot more than others but I'm currently using the one that burns the least and it's nothing TOO painful but I still feel the burn. It's also noticeably red on the areas I've been applying Tactupump. My acne hasn't been that bad in a while a
  5. I have been using Epiduo or TactuPump (Same thing, different names) since around December I think and it has helped a lot with my acne and I just have Post inflammatory hyperpigmentation left. Since around the middle of February I have had eye bags under my eyes, I think the cause of it was my sleeping late for a week or so, but after that I started sleeping 8-9 hours a night and the eye bags didn't budge. They're a little smaller now, but they are still here. I am worried because I never have h
  6. Hey guys, I have been on Epiduo (adapalene 0.1% and BP 2.5%) for 5 months. I see so much improvement after my 3rd month, my face was almost clear with no new active acne during the whole month of April 2020. However, starting in May 2020 until now (June 3, 2020), my skin is getting worse. I still use Epiduo every night just a pea size around the area where i usually get pimples. But now almost every day I will get new red bumps and eventually become pustules. The formation of pustule takes 2-3 d
  7. So, just as the title suggests, i am looking for a moisturizer that i can use at night that wont break me out or clog up my pores. I am finding it a bit difficult to find one and i am super cautious of buying random stuff or trying new things every other day, so i need good recommendations! Just a little history of my skin: I am FINALLY getting over my acne (over a year long struggle) my skin is super oily, but occasionally can have a few tiny dry patches, because i use tactupump (more common
  8. I'm 15 years old and I've had fairly clear skin my whole life. I would get 1-3 pimples at the most and maybe 3-4 when I'm on my period. But it was never a big deal because it would just go away. In the past 2 months, I have been breaking out on my forehead and I still have not found a solution to my forehead acne. It wasn't as bad at first and it was only at the very top of my forehead, and then within 2-3 weeks in the first month my skin was back to normal and I thought it was just a temporary

  10. I was given a prescription for doxycycline (I am to take 2 100mg tablets each day for 3 months). However after doing some research on it I am not sure if I should try it or not and would appreciate any input. Two months ago I was prescribed Epiduo (aka TactuPump) for my face. It has been working and my dermatologist was very pleased with the results so far. He gave me a doxycycline prescription for the moderate acne on my back. Therefore I am to continue using the Epiduo gel and start taki
  11. Background:Hi everyone! Acne for me started around the age of 12. I had tried every over the counter product, with no success. By grade 11, I was desperate and finally went to see my family doctor. I asked him for Benzaclin (Duac), as my sister had success with it. Benzaclin worked well for me, clearing up about 60% of my acne, but never making my skin fully clear. I was on it for 3 years, even though around the 2 year mark, it stopped making any difference what so ever. I went to a derm last we
  12. I've struggled with acne since I was about 15 years old. Minocycline was the only thing that ever kept my skin clear. I took it for years (I know, so bad) but as soon as I stopped taking the antibiotic it would come back. I stopped taking Minocycline before the summer of 2014. Now, at 23, my skin is worse than ever. I've had my hormones checked, I cut out dairy, I've been taking vitamins every day - nothing! I have a great diet and drink plenty of water. My doctor recently gave me some

  14. First off, I can't explain how happy I am that I came across this site... I started getting acne when I was about 12-13, and it was never what you would call severe. It's been a pretty consistent thing in my life since then, but cleared up pretty well here and there for about a few months at a time, and in the summer if I was getting enough sun, it would be alright. That is until I got the Mirena IUD inserted about 4 months ago... I would usually just get a few new pimples a week (I am also
  15. Hey, just wondering if anyone has had experience in quitting the use of epiduo altogether and what you used instead? I have been using the regular version since Feb. and switched to the forte version two months ago. It has been really great at managing my acne, but my face has become really sensitive, super oily and tingles all the time, not just after applying. It is even worse as it is warm right now and I can not go out as the tingling increases. I am just tired of feeling my face all the tim
  16. Hi guys,I’ve struggled with acne since I was about 11years old. My doctor told me as I aged my skin would mellow out since my acne was purely hormonal. I’d have a flare up (2-3 pimples) a week before my period and they’d go away a week after. I’ve used multiple acne treatments over the years. I used them primarily in high school so I don’t quite remember the names but I tried about 3-4 including proactive at one point, then tried home remedies and went back to medication eventually. Tactupump I'
  17. Hey guys, so I made an account on this website specifically for the reason to document my progress with Tactupump forte/epiduo forte. I went about a month ago to my doctor about my acne, which is mild to moderate, mainly in my chin and mouth area ( I've been experiencing it for the past 8 months or so). He prescribed me tactupump forte, and although it was extremely expensive, I decided I wanted to put an end to this once and for all. The first few days, I experienced dryness but not as bad as I
  18. Hi, I just joined the site! : ) I was prescribed epiduo for moderate/severe acne, and I was wondering what moisterizer and cleanser to use with it? And also do I apply moisterizer before, after, or mixed in with the epiduo? Currently I've been using The Body Shop's tea tree facial wash, but I think I may need something even gentler for my combination skin when using epiduo. For moisterizers, I've been using Aveeno Daily Moisterizing Lotion in the morning, and a mix of jojoba/rosemary oil

  21. Hi so i started epiduo but I'm from Canada so its called Tactupump and i have slme general questions and open to any advice to anyone who used it. 1. How long did it take you to notice it was working? 2. How long did it take to reach the point of clear skin? 3. Did you experience an initial breakout? If so how many weeks in? 4. What kind of skin would you say this product is made for?
